IT for a major airline. I make sure the pilots are reading e-mail in-flight. :p J/K.....for now.

My dad was Air Traffic Control until he retired recently.

Small world. No idea so many people here were tied to aviation.

What facility was your dad at? I'm ATC right now

Mine is still "preparing for shipment".

Ordered it at 2:25am(CST). - Changed the Ship To Address a day later

Black iPhone 32gb (AT&T)

Live in Chicago, I hope i get an update soon. I tried the whole UPS trick without any results.

ok so i FINALLY got some info... Serial Number from Apple Support Profile

F11JC1SLDTTP

I changed the numbers to all 1's (not sure how valuable a complete serial number is, but I changed it just in case). I tried searching how to figure out what info a serial number could get me, but came up short. Can anybody help me out?

Thanks

My status still says prepping for shipment. Delivers 9/21. (ordered 0:15am 9/14/12)
Wondering when my status will change.
Apple sent me an email saying I needed to call "the activation line" which I did.
They did not ask for information that I considered sensitive.
Just waiting!

If FlightAware is correct and shipment stays on the same plane, the iPhone's are heading to Ontario, CA.

My buddy from So.Cal says this is a huge UPS hub. Makes sense that this would be a main distribution center for a lot of the west coast phones. I'm in SF, so it will probably be another day or so until I see it sitting at some warehouse near me.

DOES ANYONE have theres still saying processing after ordering around say 3:31 Eastern and then changed there addressed the next day yet mine still shows 9/21 delivery.

Also does anyone have holiday shipping and have theirs shipped?

So which flight is my iPhone on?

It came in on UPS59, and will probably continue on UPS59, which is scheduled for departure to Ontario, California in less than an hour.

Surprised the phones moved through ANC so quickly. I would of thought UPS would of been fine with them hanging out for a day or so to clear customs. Pushing other more urgent packages through! (don't kill me I know everyones iPhone is the most urgent thing in the world :))

You have to wonder the preparations UPS has to take for this. Apple shipping all these phones in a short time to not only us but also all the stores, has to create a noticeable bump and possibly a strain on their route capacity. Wonder if they add aircraft or what. Any UPS folks or anyone with knowledge? My inner supply chain geek is coming out!!!!!! :)

yup i used to work at that hub. right next to ontario int'l airport. the ups plane just had to taxi across a bridge and it was right in line on the runway with other commercial carriers ready to go! :D

this has been a pretty fun experience tracking my phone.

Been holding steady here.

Hmmm... Looking at some tracking shots, I can't help but to wonder why some people have weight of the package at 0.9lb where mine shows 2.0lb - that's more than double... What's in there besides my iPhone
