So my oder is still processing and hasn't shipped yet.
Should I be concerned and maybe make a call to apple?
I live in NYC. When I got my iPad, it shipped a week before and they just held it in New Jersey for a few days...

iOS6 comes publicly tomorrow I thought...
Don't be too excited though... the new app and music store SUCKS. I can't believe they had the balls to say "faster" during the event. It's slow, crashes, and hangs a lot.

Mine still says the same thing on the Apple site. I was able to grab my shipping number though. I'm sure Apple will update the accounts at the last minute. My bank has been charged so i'm good.
Some people so such downers. We're just on here having fun. It's a lot like sitting in a waiting line for an Apple product. It's just fun.
okay this could be a very dumb question but it is something that hasnt crossed my mind until now... how exactly does one activate a preorder phone once they have received it in the mail? (AT&T if it matters)
Yes all delivery commitments have been superseded by UPS's contract with Apple. Phones will be delivered sometime Friday, before the end of the day. If you are a business customer with routine drop offs, the phone will likely be with the routine drop off.
is this an upgrade or new activation? i think either way you plug it into itunes but with an upgrade i think you have to dial 611 on your phone..don't quote me on this, it's been a while since i upgraded a phone.
Anyone with Verizon 64G has got tracking number/SN?
Dude they have been the worst. I have gotten nothing except an e-mail stating my order was processing. I bought it at 3:20AM.
Now my Apple.com order (verizon was for work this is personal) is in KY.
Last year, all I had to do was turn it on, and it guides you through the process. I didn't have to plug it in to my computer at all.
With iOS 5 (and iOS 6) you can now activate with AT&T directly from your phone I believe. I activated with iOS 4 and had to connect to my computer to go through the process, but I believe Apple has cut all the cords. AT&T is known to be HORRIBLE for activation on launch day; it can take a hundred tries before it will be activated. Good luck! I'll have to go through the same thing; I ordered an AT&T iPhone 5.
Yeah, This is what I'm dealing with for 64GB Verizon. It just says it's processing but I haven't received a single update since.
I think there are instructions on the confirmation email. Activation depends on if you are upgrading a phone and want to retain contacts and other information, like photos. If you just want to start over, you turn the phone on and follow the on screen instructions. If you want to retain info, make sure you you backup the old phone using iTunes. Activate the new phone, connect to your computer and itunes and select import from the backup. I think you need the latest iTunes version for the iOS6 that comes with the new phone, so you may want to update iTunes now if you haven't already.
how do we find serial numbers for the 16gb verizon to check and see if its been shipped? i saw some mentioned the support page
