Apple.com Preorder Status Thread (merged)

I may be wrong, but I am pretty certain you can just activate the phone directly from the phone w/o having to use itunes or calling the provider.

You won't see anything except perhaps a pending charge until its in the preparing for shipment state and you get a serial number assigned. If your order confirmation said delivery on 21 Sept, try not to worry. There are many reports here that during the last iPhone roll out, orders were in the processing state the night before and they still got their phone. There could be some issue with Verizon authorizing the upgrade, but the 32GB Verizon model seems to be the last one in line being processed.

Weird thing - I have a serial number and UPS tracking number assigned (as of this morning), but my card is still processing.

So it appears that your card won't necessarily be fully charged prior to shipment. I'm still waiting for that to occur.

I live in NYC. When I got my iPad, it shipped a week before and they just held it in New Jersey for a few days...

I'm in NYC and mine just showed up on UPS and Apple Support page. Mine is "preparing to ship" still, and has been for almost 3 days.

So it isn't a location problem. So long as your delivery date still shows as 09/21, you should be alright :cool:
 
Wouldn't it be funny if there were UPS IT guys sitting around messing with all of us by changing shipping statuses... Make a great comic wouldn't it? Kinda like a FAR SIDE comic... WE are all TOOOOOO funny...

Yeah same with me. There's no way that it takes that long to fly to either Louisville or even Ontario. I'm guessing the scans just haven't happened at this point.

The flight arrived... it just left 2.5 hours later than it was supposed to. Since WorldShip is very very regimented in terms of time tables, it may just be taking them a bit longer to organize and bulk update the shipments since it arrived much later than anticipated. But don't worry, it's there!:D
 
My confirmation email is timed stamped 3:11am and my order is still "preparing for shipment".

I hope that status changes soon or I will start to worry.

I got my tacking number last night for my 64gb Black VW iphone. It states it is in Nashville and will deliver on time by UPS. I think that most of the 64gb Black for VW are in Nashville hence why they aren't going to officially give us tracking info until tomorrow.

in the Shipment information it still says my mom's address. my concern now is that because of the request I did through apple maybe my iphone will be delayed. Do you think that could happen? or will they just redirect it to my address?

It's probably going to your Mom's house. Just have her overnight to you or get in the car to go get it.
 
mine arrived in louisville, ky this morning at 10 AM.


the sad thing is.... i live in louisville ky!! my phone is literally right down the road just sitting there waiting to be delivered!

Mine is still on the "processing order" so atleast your ahead of me.
