Apple.com Preorder Status Thread (merged)

Woke up this morning to find that I finally have UPS tracking information! This lags the appearance of my serial number on the product support page by about 11 hours. My black 64gb is with the rest of the group in Louisville, KY. UPS shows delivery by 12 p.m. on 9/21! Apple still shows "preparing for shipment". Needless to say, I'm a happy camper this morning! :)

Now the wait begins for iOS 6 to appear today so I can update the ip4 and the iPad...
 
Mine has shipped today, but it sucks that my girlfriend's comes in by 10:30 and mine has "by end of day."

I ordered both of mine around 3:50a EST. I received my confirmation email about 4:01a EST. Both are set to arrive 10/1. I have seen no movement and I am considering canceling tomorrow if nothing changes and going down to the AT&T store to wait.

Very surprised that its that far out based on when I ordered. Pissed at myself for not just getting up at 3A and ordering.

once I added the tracking to my choice ups it says it will be delivered by 10:30am.
 
Could someone please post how to track your iphone before it was given to the carrier?
I tried to find this information in this thread but there is just too much posts :D

Woke up this morning and checked UPS immediately, i5 is still in Louisville. I hope i5 starts moving out today. I wont sleep Thursday night. Delivery status still says before 10:30am here in Va. Come On!!!!!

FWIW I talked a friend that works nights at the UPS hub in Louisville and she said some iPhones have been there since at least Monday night. I told her to pick mine up for me but she said they aren't allowed to touch/distribute the crates until Thursday. I don't know how they could do it Thursday if they have to be shipped clear across the country though.

How exactly did you add it to My Choice. I signed up for the free My Choice and tracked my package while logged in but my delivery still says by end of day. Can you give me a little more info on the process please? Also, are you using the premium My Choice or the free My Choice? Thanks.

some people just got lucky and their's defaulted to "by 10:30 am"

also, they easily could ship them on thursday and have them to you by friday. I have amazon prime and as long as I ordered by 6:00pm, I get it the next day.

I tracked it while logged in and I think it tied it to my account by name on package. I have the free one. Mine did say end of day yesterday, but today it was changed. Still sitting in Louisville though.

I was trying to order mine about the same time, but couldn't get through. Finally confirmed order at 4:20am EST (really?). Order status on Apple.com says delivery by 10/5. I too was hoping for some magic on delivery, but not a peep as of yet. I too am considering canceling and taking my chances in line at a local retailer - Target, Walmart, AT&T, etc. I am concerned about AT&T messing my contract up since my Apple order changed my contract end date. Decisions, decisions.:confused:

That's what I did. Made sure the name and address on the My Choice account matched what Apple has on file and tracked it; still no change. I'll check later to see if it updated or it they are still sticking me with an end of day delivery.

Your using the phone number that is associated with your order? Like maybe your home number if you have one?

Lines are already starting around here, better decide soon....friday is gonna be a mess at the stores.
