I still don't think anything is moving. After watching that documentary the other night, they don't have any reason to move anything until this afternoon at the earliest.

I hope all u antsy people realized that Apple did you a favor by purposefully waiting until the last possible day to send the 'Shipped' emails because by agreement with the carriers, the return date (and contract cancellation date) is calculated 30 days from the shipment date, and it would have been unfair for Apple to have purposefully held up shipments until the 21st if the return policy was being calculated from the 14th-16th.

Is that the case, though? When I log onto AT&T it shows my contract end date as 9/14/14, and my early upgrade date as 4/14/14. I'm hoping it's really the 21st and that it changes after I activate my phone tomorrow, since I really want to get the no-contract version so I can unlock it and return my Apple order. Having an extra week would help as I think stock will be tight for the first few weeks like it was last year. I don't feel like waiting in long lines to get one.

Yes Newark would be the closest. It's about 15min away

I am in the same location as you i haven't got a confirmation email from pple yet but when i go to my account on apple it shows it shopped and on ups there hasn't been any updates since anchorafe on 9/18 at 11:18 pm. on ups it said phone should be here by 10:30 am tomorrow. Im not worried, just as long as i have it tomorrow since i have no phone at all.

Just woke up and haven't had a chance to read up on the thread, but first thing...I got my shipped e-mail. Second, it arrived at 4:14 AM CDT. I checked the UPS flight from Louisville to Dallas, it LANDED at 4:14 AM. Coincidence? Doubtful. :D

UPS tracking shows no movement. Like others said, starting to think its intentional.

None here.

Awesome! mine is sitting in Hinckley Depo waiting to go out, I think that will be the same for UPS (USA) - they will most likely go out tonight or tomorrow morning. UPS might not even update the transit of packages until after they are delivered, same with us in the UK.

Ugh. Well Mine still says
Anchorage, AK, United States 09/18/2012 12:58 A.M. Departure Scan

On another note.... Mine also says UPS by 10:30am. UPS NEVER comes to my house that early. Anybody have any reasoning for whether this is accurate or not?

UPS status still shows mine sitting in Louisville but it might have gone out on this flight

There were a lot of early morning flights out of Louisville but only a couple here and there now so I'm guessing most of our iPhones left there in the wee hours. Here's hoping.

To the anchorage 12:58ers....

Have hope, mine just have been first off the pallet. I'd post a pic for proof, but I'm on my phone :(

Yes, it is the case... the return date is calculated from the shipment date, not the contract signing date -- otherwise, how do you think the people who ordered the phones on the 14th but won't get them until the beginning of October would feel? So, that's why Apple purposefully waited to mark the phones as shipped... The contract signing date will always be the 14th

You guys are so lucky to be able to actually buy iPhones when they come out, here armies scalpers with lots of fake IDs and emails empty the stock right away and sell everything on the other side of the Chinese border, making it ridiculously expensive for locals to actually get a phone for a few weeks :(

Mine still hasn't been scanned into Louisville ... :(

They have a lot of packages to scan though. I am having the same in the UK - some have scanned yet mine hasn't. It just takes a while for the system to update. Rest assured you will get that scan!

Just got update in Louisville, KY:

7:43AM Import Scan

Looks like the big party in 'tucky is over after two days of partying in Louisville

One of mine just shipped officially, but it is still in limbo between Addison and Louisville. Somebody go wake that Bus driver up!!!

That sucks. :(. But isn't HK an awesome place to live otherwise? Hope to visit someday.

Can't decide if I should pre sign, I live in an apt complex, the ups driver literally runs down the hall and barely taps on the door drops the package and leaves. Or they give it to the front office. I don't trust either of those options. Hopefully he'll actually knock on my door for me to sign. Would hate to step outside at 4pm and see a sticky note!
