Those in Denver:looks like there's a ups flight (UPS2804) leaving KY to Denver at 4:30 or so.
My Sprint iPhone 5 32 GB from apple.com is coming by UPS tomorrow, Sept 21st. The website says it will be here between 12PM and 4 PM ET. I am trying to get it so I can pick up at UPS facility. But they can't do same day until the package is actually at the facility and before out for deliver.
It is still in Louisville, KY. Wonder when it is going to leave? I live in northeastern U.S. in New England.

I can't answer your last question, but I was told the same (about changing the pick-up same day) from UPS this morning. They told me to call in just after Midnight and have it held.

I don't get pre-signing. Why would you do that and risk losing your iphone. Someone could take it. Or..do you thinka driver would ever "say" they left it? I just don't trust anyone

I got an "Import scan" in KY as well, at 8:08 and It's coming to Los Angeles.
Probably get on the plane this evening. They move packages quick.
Also, mine says "by 10:30" also, do you guys think they're actually sticking to timetables, I think they'll be to overwhelmed to stick to any schedule. but then again it also depends on where you live.

Some live in rural or safe places and would rather UPS leave it then have to go back and forth with an infonotice. Or just willing to risk theft for the chance of getting the phone sooner.
I've had delivery people not even bother to knock and just leave a slip, while I sat inside waiting. Especially during the day, I think they just figure no one is home.
I'm sticking to my guns, I think they are already here. Just checked and the only two other UPS flights coming into Philly the rest of today are direct flights from Texas and Iowa.

If you're so worried about pre-signing then worry about a dishonest driver pulling up to a location close to your home, signing for the package themselves, and taking your iPhone and selling it. All I'm saying is that there are many ways and many places for your iPhone to disappear to if a person wants it. Not that I wish that on you, but pre-signing isn't the worse thing that could happen to you since you mention not trusting anyone. If that's the case you should wait til you can buy one directly at the store... because for all you know that box from UPS or FedEx could have been opened and resealed and when you open it there could be a small brick inside!!
I thought about that, too. I'll probably be on my deck all day, so I can watch for the UPS Truck.

I'm in Southern CA too and mine doesn't show import scan on UPS.
Packagemapping.com shows a location scan.

This is so exciting! Is anyone having their phone delivered to their office? I'm in an all day meeting tomorrow (with delivery by 10:30 AM) and want to be sure that a colleague can sign on my behalf.
Has anyone done this in the past or asked UPS if this is permitted by the delivery person?
