I think they just have a pre-canned script by now, no human involvement.

It doesn't negatively impact everyone that had by the end of the day or just 9/21 as they will still receive the phone on 9/21.

But I have "Delivers 9/21 via Next Day Shipping" and still no tracking info on UPS. What should I think about it? :/

You will get it by 9/21. It has not shown up because it only takes one day to ship, if you haven't gotten an email from Apple expect one by around 6PM or so tonight.
 
Mine has a "by 10:30 am" delivery time, while my wife's has a "by end of day" time. Hopefully my local UPS branch sees the 2 shipments to the same location and just makes one trip before 10:30am so she doesn't have to wait longer than I did.

Yeah, I usually do the same regardless... just in case I'm in the shower when they stop by, or the batteries die in the door bell and I don't hear the door knock.

But if you are a belt and suspenders kinda guy/gal... I'd be up all night just in case the wind takes the form... :)

My best guess is that the phones are in Louisville now. My status shows its still on time for a 10:30 delivery, so I won't be surprised if it suddenly changes to out for shipping early tomorrow morning. LOL!

Yeah , lets hope your right .....My wifes phone which we ordered from ATT is in Memphis shipping out with FEDEX ....she made me a bet hers would get here before mine ....but even if I lose its a win win situation with the stakes that were put up .....:D
 
Stopped by my local ATT store and was able to purchase a black otter defender case for when the phone arrives tomo! Although it is not the case I wanted (Wanted otterbox commuter case) At least I have a case to put the phone in asap! Will be order the case I want and will be fine though it wont be here for a couple of weeks. Hurray!

This is what I am expecting too. But when I see others who have an update mail with a delayed date, I am a bit scared.

And now this UPS update. :/
 
Just posted my pre-sign paper with a little note to put it inside my grill around back. I also put a Gatorade and a pack of Reese's Cups in there with a thank you note to my UPS guy.

Never know, maybe on the next order he'll remember and deliver mine first ;)

I think this is the case. I just checked the UPS flights from Louisville to Philadelphia, and there are none scheduled for the rest of today or tomorrow so I gotta imagine in hubs all around the U.S. iPhones are already sitting, waiting for their scans to be activated.
 
They had black, and purple, although they said they sold out of the Blue one earlier in the day! (Go into the store, people that are calling they were telling them they had to wait until Friday)

Worth the try! It worked for me! Best of luck!

There are other than direct (non stop) flights.

Not everyone has something on their tracking that says before 10:30am. Mine still says delivery 10:45-2:45. I am expecting it to be 2-4, considering how busy UPS will be tomorrow. I WISH mine had said before 10:30, tho!
 
I got an import scan as well, in KY. I'm imagining it'll go on a plan this afternoon.
