X : I am At&T customer from last 4 years and i want to know if you can remove the upgrade fees for my upgrade.

Michelle Krotky : Upon reviewing the account I will remove the upgrade fee's however in the future they are valid charges.

I was one of the "processing" orders with holiday shipping. My status just changed to preparing for shipment.... :D
 
So for those of us who are in 'preparing for shipment' stage when can we expect it to ship?

I am hoping I am one of the few to get it a day early!!! Every year there seems to be a few who get them early...
 
Where did you have this chat with ATT?

Log in to your at&T account then click on contact us at bottom of page, it will give you all chat option...

If it says billing chat is unavailable then keep refreshing this page with F5. it will come up as live chat available after some F5s.

just ask them nicely...they will remove it.
 
Ordered at 3:05AM EST. Was immediately at Processing. White 32GB Verizon. Can't wait!!! Have a 9/21 ship date.

Did anyone else have the option to change shipping speed from standard shipping?
 
Mine finally went to Preparing for Shipment a few minutes ago. Sprint 16GB black ordered around 2:50am central time.
 
I ordered at 12:10am, it would be nice if mine would change too. -__- I understand that all of them will probably be here 9/21 anyway, but it would make me feel a whole lot better if I could see the "shipment" status. I tried asking someone on the apple chat and they weren't much help at all. Understandable, I'm sure they've been asked the same question 50,000 times today.
 
I'm hoping I'm ok but I'm nervous with all this talk about AT&T folks who are eligible for the upgrade whose Apple orders were cancelled because of an AT&T error saying they were not eligible.

I ordered a white 32g at 12:05 am PST through the apple store iPhone app. I chose the option to keep my grandfathered data plan. My order has always said ships 9/21. At some point today it went to "Preparing for shipment". The charge for the phone is being held from my account.

I have not received an email from AT&T with my new contract or the Apple care email from Apple, which I've read a lot of people have received now. When I log in to my AT&T account, it still shows me as upgrade eligible, though I know others have already seen their dates change.

I'm gonna be upset if AT&T screws up my order. Not sure if I should call Apple or AT&T or just leave it alone for now. This process is never easy!

EDIT: Whoops. I did get the applecare email, it went to my junk folder. Now just waiting for that CSS.

What does it say when you check eligibility with same number on apple.com?

Ok, it's changed on both now. But I don't have my CSS yet. I'm just in the waiting game. Phew! (I hope!) :)
Log into your AT&T account and check your profile to see if you have your preferences set to send emails. You might not get an email about the CSS but if you look in your profile on the online account you should see the CSS PDF linked for viewing / download.

Same thing for me. My upgrade date is change on boht ATT and apple website to 2014.
But i did not got any Applecare or CSS email. Not even in my Spam folder.

YES. That means I was unaffected by the issue. I got the CSS and applecare email. I'm sure you're fine if it's already at prepping for shipment. They wouldn't prepare it to be shipped if they thought you weren't eligible for discounted pricing.
