Apple.com Preorder Status Thread (merged)

I ordered mine at 4:00AM on friday (9/14) and i got this:

Phone 5 32GB Black & Slate (GSM)
Show Rate Plan
Available to ship: 2 weeks
Delivers Oct 5 via Standard Shipping

:(

BTW - I called Apple, and they told me that those 2 weeks are estimates and that it might ship sooner. Fingers crossed
 
UPDATE: @9:12pm, September 15, 2012 -- Status has now changed to "Preparing for Shipment" with Holiday Shipment, whatever that means. I ordered a 16 GB black/slate model.
 
I called apple to ask a simple question and phone tree cut me off. "Due to high call volumes were are unable to take your call at this time. Goodbye"...I cannot even call customer support????? The computer hung up on me?

Call to a "sales desk" or to make an order... start explaining your issue and they'll transfer you to a customer service person. :cool:
 
Woohoo! Finally in "Preparing to ship" mode! Holiday shipping 9/21. Ordered 12:00am 14th! 16gb black. I feel silly for worrying so much!:p

naw I'm right there with you i was worried because of the at&t stories members told because they cancelled because of discrepancies found somewhere in the upgrade. but all is well
 
Those who haven't received the CSS e-mail from AT&T, make sure you are checking the e-mail account of the primary holder.
 
Just got off the phone with apple. According to the rep i spoke with the initial stock actually ran out at 3:30 am eastern time but it took until 4 am eastern time for the system to show that it would not be shipped for 2 weeks. He was not aware of the email going out where shipments originally scheduled for 2 weeks were pushed up to delivery on the 21st. Hoping I get the same email. Had my confirmation at 3:58 eastern time!

My AppleCare + and Product Red bumper for iPhone 4S is shipping from TENN. They shipped Friday morning.

My iPhone 5 White / Silver 64GB AT&T is still processing order confirmation received at 12:22 AM

Delivery date still says 9.21.12 when I check the status a apple.com

I checked on AT&T website and my contract has already been renewed ending 9.14.14

The items are being shipped to Los Angeles, CA

I got my confirmation at around 2:15am CST. Right now it says mine will arrive on the 21st. Impatiently waiting for the tracking number

Not as of now. It says ships 2 weeks arrives oct 5. He said they are processing a high volume of orders (obviously) and as they shift through them ship dates may improve. I'm just bothered because why would I have ordered through apple and wait 2 weeks for it to ship (probably 3 weeks to arrive) when I could have easily ordered it from Verizon. I had a good experience pre ordering my iPad (3rd gen) through apple but after this I don't think I'll try ordering through apple again. All throughout my checkout process it showed delivers 21st then on the confirmation email showed 2 weeks. Absolutely ridiculous. Then by the time I could actually cancel the order Verizon had pushed back shipping as well! Ugh bull*!?!
 
Let me be blunt-she & her supervisor are full of crap or or 2 of the most ignorant folks on earth.I have used my debit card for the 4S and 5 w/o an issue.Can you imagine if they only accepted credit cards?
