Mine went from "Processing Order" to "Preparing for Shipment" and then back to "Processing Order". Has this happened to anyone else? I feel like I am the only one who has not seen there order ship yet.

I care, hence the reason why I posted it. If no one cared, no one on this forum would be checking and updating each other on their shipping statuses daily...

Be happy your iPhone is actually shipped.. If you're worrying about when your package is actually moving, well you have way too much time on your hands....

I'm curious as to when Apple is going to mark the orders shipped. Are they waiting until the phones are state side, or are they waiting until a majority of orders have shipped to avoid mass panic?

I'm in the same boat, I had to change my address Friday morning but it is still showing a 9/21 delivery, should I be nervous?

Not even close. I ordered at 0201 central and still have "awaiting action". I have called Apple 3 times and they tell me it's a glitch in the system and it will still be delivered on the 21st. I see no signs of hope. I will be bugging Apple all day until this gets rectified.

No dice with my phone number, billing account number, home number, the first 8(or the entire order number) digits of my order number, nor does my Apple product pop up on the support thingy.

I know it'll still be here by Friday, but it's still makes me nervous. 32 GB Black Sprint iPhone. East Coast!:confused::confused:

Been stalking this thread for awhile, this morning i was finally able to pull up my ups tracking info. It's only been scanned, have no idea where, but it has "next day air" as its service. Apple still shows "preparing for shipment" and my iphone has not appeared in the support database yet. Any idea why it says "Next day air"? Apple is usually really good at making sure everyone gets it on the day it releases.

Ordered white 16gb GSM
Available to ship 2 weeks

I upgraded from iPhone 4. I've paid my at&t phone bill. I ordered via safari on my iPad around 4:10am on Friday. The only email I've gotten from apple was a confirmation that I changed my shipping address for the iPhone 5. The ups trick isn't working for me, so i take it I'm not in the system. Also, I have a nine didgit order number. I'm feeling a bit hopeless in that maybe I should just cancel the pre order and go directly to at&t on Friday morning.

Someone, please, comfort me

There are a lot of folks in the same boat, many are still processing. Your phone is waiting comfortably with his friends in Tennessee or Illinois and just hasn't been scanned into the system yet, still plenty of time.

That's probably wouldn't be a good idea. If you upgraded from the 4 on the same carrier, you've used your subsidy upgrade. If you tried to go to the Apple store buy it, you would most likely have to pay full price now.

I still don't have a tracking number but Apple's website shows me sitting at 9-21. I am okay with that right now cuz I am going to check it multiple times per day, even when it is chilling in StL early waiting for delivery.

Fingers crossed for people getting them early

Then it's settled! I'll be keeping the pre order active lol. Thanks for the info. I take some comfort in knowing that at least my phone isn't coming from the VERY first batches so I'm not as likely to get those common initial phone problems. Do you think the October delivery dates are concrete?

My serial # on apple support profile is all letters?! Had this been covered earlier, I did see anything paging though but this thread is huge.

AT&T 32GB black & slate: DNJPXXXXXXXX

I have the same thing, AT&T 32 black
DNPJ and the rest are all letters
Also, applecare says I don't get 2 full years

2 16gb AT&T 5's ordered at 3:37a EST via the iOS app just pulled tracking numbers on UPS in Nashvile.

I Ordered using the Apple Store App. Black, 32 gig, Verizon, no subsidy. I am on Long Island. The timestamp on my confirm email is 3:06am. My status is "preparing for shipment". I cannot pull it up on UPS or Fedex and the support link does not show my serial number.

Am I correct to assume I am not alone in this or do I have an issue?

My iPhone 5 is finally on its way and heading to the US... first stop... North Korea, WAIT WHAT?! It has stopped in Incheon, North Korea....

Lol, Incheon may have been built out of sand out in the water, but it was still South Korean sand in South Korean waters.
