Honestly, I don't think anybody NEEDS to see all of this.. However, it is part of the fun... It's like Christmas for all of us that are getting one on the 21st. Mine is showing up on the apple support page.. NO UPS info yet.. however, I live in Nashville, so I am assuming I wont see any info on UPS until Tues or Wed...

Yes, I spoke to an apple customer serv rep via phone as I will be at work day of delivery. She said I can click the pre-sign option. I still don't see it, but she assured me it will show up on their site when it shows as "shipped" on their end, but if not to call them directly at 1-800-676-2775.

You have to create a free mychoice account and in the settings you can waive your signature requirements for all shipments.

With analyst estimates being around 8M phones for the first weekend that puts a huge crunch on supply. The more popular configs will sell out extremely fast which is prob why some people who ordered really early won't be getting their iPhone on launch day.

Agreed. My guess is 16GB is more than 50% of the mix, closer to 60%. Followed by 32GB and 64GB.

Saw screenshots on another forum with status as shipped and delivery date being 9-21. The shipping companies have orders to keep them until that date so no one will be getting them early unless someone makes a mistake and puts it on the truck.

Finally some action on the support site with my serial number and device showing up, but my status has not changed from preparing to ship and no info pulls up on UPS. Ordered at 2:25am CST, 16GB White AT&T

I think he is referring to the Apple.com order status. Mine still says "preparing to ship" while UPS is up to date.

That's good to know! I just haven't seen anyone on this thread saying their status shows shipped

You have to create a free mychoice account and in the settings you can waive your signature requirements for all shipments.

You can do that too, but it would be easier to do it directly through Apple. This is in their Orders FAQ:

There are two ways you can Pre-sign for your shipment:

Click the Pre-sign for this shipment link in your Shipment Notification email

Visit online Order Status and click the "Pre-sign for this shipment" link
Complete and print the Shipment Release Authorization form. Leave the form on your door for the carrier, prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of expected delivery.

You can specify a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, or building manager). If you provide an address other than the one specified on the package, someone must sign for the package.

If you'd like to pre-sign for more than one shipment, simply print, sign, and leave a Shipment Release Authorization for each package.

For safety and security reasons, all deliveries are subject to the driver's discretion. If you are unable to access the Pre-sign Form, call Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 and let us help!

Confused...

I charged my pre-order to my account, my Amex card attached. White 16GB, and got my order number once i pre-ordered it late late late last Friday night.
I still have yet to receive a confirmation e-mail about it, or even a charge on the card... there was a random $1 charge from apple, but I can't find it anymore.
I'm super confused, but hoping it still comes through...if anyone knows anything more than I do(which is many) let me know!

I had professors like that when I was in college too. I had one walk out because he saw somebody else walk out and said "if you don't have to be here, then I don't have to be here either.", and stormed out the door. College/university professors need to understand that we pay their salary if we are students in the class, this isn't f---ing high school. There is no such thing as truancy at the college level.

That's exactly what I think. And the whole idea behind excused/unexcused absences. I'm an adult, I have a great grade point average, and I always work hard on school. Why do I need to give a doctor's excuse because I have a flu?

I have 3 Ordered

2 show up in UPS - 2 packages 0.90 each from TN. The 3rd package hasnt shown up in UPS yet.

Mine is exactly the same as yours. 3 phones -2 packages 0.90 each from TN. No 3rd package yet. No email from Apple yet. On Apple.com all 3 phones say preparing for shipment with a delivery date of 9/21 on all 3 phones.

I know how you feel. I got my email confirmation at 12:15am PDT on Friday and am still in the same boat as you are. I am not concerned at all. Of course I AM anxious and impatient, but not worried.
