China is roughly 13 hours ahead of the US depending on which time zone you're in. Which means a flight could leave China at 10 PM Thursday Chinese time and arrive 8 PM Thursday US time, with enough time for UPS or FedEx to get it to you.

Been sitting in ZhengZhou since an 11:15 arrival scan on Sunday night, but I'm not worried. Lots of phones ship the night before and still make it to people's doors by launch day.
Ups tracking allows you to search by a reference number. You can try your apple order # without the last two characters, or your billing phone number have worked most often.
Any changes? Again not worried, It will come Friday, but I am still showing preparing for shipment. I would just like to be able to print out the signature page to have them leave at my back door.

That's very common. It just takes a while for the information to be in the system. Give it a few hours or a day and you'll be able to access your shipping details.

I used a capitol one master card
Well I'm sure that if Capitol One rejected our purchase that we would've been notified by Capitol One and by Apple or simply Apple canceling our order.
Does anyone know do I need to be home when iPhone arrives or somebody can sign it for me?
There is a concierge service in the building where I live and normally they receive all my parcels. Would that work for iPhone or it needs to be me to sign?

My phone shipped two hours ago. Tennessee enroute to California! Shipped one day shipped but is to be held until Friday morning. Here we go!
Yeah, in years past you needed to sign a form and leave it on the door if you wanted Apple to drop it off when you're not home. I don't see the option this year.
Me! I have the exact same status as you. Figured it would have made its way somewhere else by now but I'm sure it will. I don't expect "preparing for shipment" to change until tomorrow sometime.
