No problem. Judging from others' posts it looks like the turn around time in Anchorage is pretty quick...there don't seem to be many delays from there. I think it's Louisville we have to worry about. :)

I'm not sure you've been reading every post. There's a whole gang of us stuck in Anchorage going on 2 full days now.

I posted in another thread but realized it may get more views here. I upgraded to a 6 and want to make an exchange. I was told since I upgraded I have to return the phone, wait for verizon to credit back my upgrade eligibility and then come back to the apple store and repurchase. So this would make me phoneless and hope that they still have a phone in stock when I can upgrade again in the store.

This surely can't be the process as I have seen many comments in places stating they just went back to the apple store and exchanged for another phone, be it a 6 or 6+, and paid the difference or credited back the difference even if they used an upgrade.

Can anyone give me a rundown of their exchange process after an upgrade? Any and all comments welcome to cover all scenarios. I appreciate it everyone!

Reading this thread is just too funny. It's almost like upon ordering there should be a page where you click an "agree" button that says:

Estimated Delivery Oct 20 -27
Manufacturing: You know, we make a lot of products every year. We know what we're doing. Don't try to figure out the order that we're making them or get upset when someone who ordered a few hours after you has their phone ship first. The order we're making them makes sense to us...not you. It's not first in first out...that's not effective manufacturing. See "Estimated Delivery" above.
Shipping: It is very rare that you buy products direct from the factory. As such, traditional carrier tracking websites will be virtually useless to you as we try and maximize our supply chain and get your device to you in the most efficient and cost effective way. Just think, we could be batch shipping to our DCs, inventorying them, and then re-shipping adding another few days. See "Estimated Delivery" above.

Just a little levity. I'm in that 10/20-10/27 group. While I've read this whole thread, I'm also totally content with the original date because that's what I agreed to. While it's frustrating that devices are popping up in store, in my mind the wait is the trade-off for not having to rely on luck and timing each day to snag one. Although there was my model in a local store this morning just in silver instead of SG. Almost did the cancel/pickup dance but it's just too entertaining to hang out with all of you on this thread. :)

Mine showed "processing" for 15 days before it moved to "preparing for shipment" which it has been on for two days now.

That's exactly how mine is. Ordered the 15th, preparing for shipment for the past 2 days. CC charged when it went into preparing for shipment.
You must have a ship date of 14-21st also right?
Let's hope we both get tracking numbers soon :)

Mine is a 64g att grey

I originally purchased a 6+ from Apple but after receiving it, felt it was too big for me. I called Apple because I was unable to initiate the return online. They told me the return would have to be processed by Apple before my upgrade eligibility would be reset (which I was told could take 24-48 hours). I was told that I could either mail the phone back or take it to an Apple Store. I figured it would be quicker through the store and by chance they had a "sold out" 6 for me. The return would not go through at the store and ultimately I had to mail it back. It took 2 days for Apple to get the phone and after emailing me the that my return was complete, my eligibility was reset almost immediately.

Thanks for the info! Definitely helps me out.

processing for 12 days including weekend....i dont think our phones have been even manufactured....they probably dont even have serial numbers yet either...

Ordered mine on 9/19...this whole thing sucks....i am this close to cancel my order...but then I think about having to drive like crazy to different cities to see if MAYBE i am lucky and find what I want...with this California traffic I highly doubt it.....:mad:

I ordered mine on September 13th at around 4pm. It barely switched to "preparing for shipment" on Monday night! Estimated delivery October 14-21

Anyone on the same boat?

iPhone 6 Plus 64gb Space Grey AT&T

One thing I've learned in my old age - the world is a cruel, cruel place.

I went onto the online Apple Store and simulated buying the 128 GB, silver iPhone 6 Plus. To my surprise, there is inventory at numerous Apple Stores in my area. I mean a lot of Apple Stores. So, I call the Columbia, MD Apple Store. The guy said that I'd have to cancel my online order and transferred me to do that. He assured me that they have a good supply and that other stores in the area have them too. So, i talk with the online Apple Store guy. He said, "Do you have AT&T?" I said yes. He said, "Do you have eligibility?" I said yes. He says, "AT&T can take up to a week to reset your eligibility." Thus, I am stuck with waiting for the ****** iPhone when the Apple Stores in my area are rolling in them.

Memo to me - don't ever again preorder the ****** iPhone.

I have these scans too. Are you on the west coast?

The story is all the same, I wish I knew when it was actually coming or even where it really was....

We have the exact scans starting @ yesterday's 5:15 ZZ departure (was not really a departure) scan to… we missed the flight…

I have some available in my area also but with my Miami traffic ill never get to them before other people. This really pisses me off. Apple is so behind on order's.

6+ due 10/2, but still in Alaska

My phone is due tomorrow, so I called UPS and they said not to worry. As long as the delivery date is still active and there are no exceptions, it will deliver tomorrow.

She said that they miss scans or the system doesn't always update. I am trusting what she told me, but it is still a little weird that there is no other updates from the point it got to Alaska.

I had a similar situation (which I ranted about earlier). VZW will restore your eligibility right away. I've done that a couple of times while on the phone with a VZW rep. Maybe if you call AT&T up and play the squeaky hinge very loudly, they'll get off their duffs and do it sooner, as in, right away. I've learned recently to not take Apple's word about anything.
