I ordered this morning (around 3:30AM) through the Apple Store app on my iPad and it processed....then received an e-mail about 30 minutes ago saying that my payment was declined by my bank! Bank of America declined it because they thought it was "fraudulent" due to my CC info possibly being compromised for unknown reasons.

Before I exploded in anger they were able to "authorize" it if it went through again and luckily was able to "reauthorize" through the order status option on apple.com. It went through and charged my account. It still says 9/19 delivery and I'm really hoping it doesn't change because of the first failed attempt :( :(

Where was the "reauthorize" button you clicked on? Under the drop down menu where it says "All Item Actions"? I experienced the same thing with Bank of America. But I didn't see that authorize button

It said Reauthorize under the Order Number in a big blue button!

Still says 9/19 for delivery. Again, I'm really really hoping it didn't F up because of that...

My order went through and I got email confirmation from ordering in the apple store app, but my card has yet to be charged anything or have any pending charges. Has anyone else been charged yet or do I have something to worry about?

I havent been billed yet either

Anybody having trouble seeing their order status with ? I ordered through the iPad app, received a confirmation email at 12:44AM with an order number and delivery date of 9/19. When I check orders in the app or on the website I just get errors.

that was happening to me and i just checked again and it's now working for me

Preordered 6+ through the app last night. This morning I have a chase notification that they have detected fraud on my card and declined payment. Reported it as not fraud. Went to apple website and re-authorized the same card. All appears fine as my shipping date never changed.

Side rant. Chase shuts my card off about 5-6 times a year for "suspicious activity" and it has never once been fraud. On top of that, the suspicious activity is usually a place that I purchase from regularly. Really kind of frustrating. Would have been supremely annoyed if I stayed up until 1 am, fought through the order process and had chase ruin all that. Ok. Done. Bye.

I didn't have that button. It said processing. So I'm guessing I'll see the transaction show up at some point.

They did something similar to me last week. So I called them and told them that the new iPhone I ordered was not in fact a fraudulent charge.

I placed my order, 3-4 weeks, first time I wont be a launch day owner, no biggy though, go the one I wanted.

Had I known the apple site would've sucked so bad, I would've just not stayed up and still probably gotten the 3-4 week window, oh well, it was fun!

As soon as I typed this, my 3-4 week window became a launch day date instead, so perhaps keep checking, maybe the system is finally ironing itself out.

i got mine reserved at best buy. 4.7" 64GB spacegray
I was 4th to reserve that specific model at that store. w00t

You could probably walk into a store in two weeks and buy one.

Read my above post, I got bumped up!

But thanks, and yeah I could've but nothin worse than going to the retail store in the month of a launch, too much yelling, people, and body odor.

yeah. what's annoying to me is that I did contact Bank of America to let them know that this charge was coming. and the customer service rep told me they'd put a note on my account and that it should be processed fine. then i get this fraud email/text. i still don't have that "Re-Authorize" or "Authorize" big blue button under my order status. so, hopefully Apple hasn't attempted to charge my card yet..or.....i'm not sure.

Two stupid questions

1. Anyone having problems seeing their order history on Apple.com? I know the order went through because I have the confirmation email and I see charges on my card, but it is still weird that I can only see my order history on the Apple Store App and not online. I just get "oops there was an error loading the page"

2. Apple Care + - I tried to add it to my order this morning on the Apple Store app, but it woudl just error out. So I just bought the phone to make sure my order went in. Is there still a 60 day period to buy Apple Care + from the data or purchase? Can you do that online or do you do it in store?

Thanks!

1) I wouldnt worry, I pretty sure any site selling an iPhone today is having some issues....

2) I believe it is 30 days(?), but you have to bring your phone with you when purchasing applecare so they know it is in good working order...

Ah the dilemma...

Got an order in via AT&T web site at 12:06am PDT. But because I didn't get an email confirmation after 45 minutes, went through the Apple Store app on my iPad and got a "Your iPhone has been reserved" email. Woke up this morning with an email from AT&T saying that it's shipping in 21-28 business days. Then got an email from Apple saying I have 24 hours to complete my purchase from their end. Of course that's not working because I already used my upgrade with my AT&T order.

So the question is: do I cancel my AT&T order today and hope their computers update by 9:00am tomorrow so the Apple order goes through? Or do I just wait the 21-28 days and keep my AT&T order. The Apple order doesn't give me an expected ship date so it could all be for not...

Advise?

Was anybody able to order an off-contract (T-Mobile) iPhone 6+ via Apple.com and still get either 09/19 delivery or store pickup? I kept trying the site for about an hour and a half, passed out, woke up again and was able to get my order in at 3:22 AM PST but by that time I was already being quoted 7-10 business days (Oct. 1-6). :(

Yes--my iPad loaded the store around 12:10 AM PDT and my order was finished about 5 minutes after that.

It seems that if you loaded the store page while it was down, it never came back up, but if you happened to open the store page for the first time after 12:05 or so, it was up right away.

Ugh what a horrible experience. I stayed up until about 1am and still couldn't order with the Apple app. I conceded and ordered from the AT&T store but the confirmation email said the orders were delivered on first come, first serve basis and my phone would arrive on or around 09/19. No guaranteed delivery date. Went back to the Apple app and was able to order but received the reservation email. F this, I'm going to bed. Woke up at 7am and ordered from the Apple app with no problem with a guaranteed delivery of 09/19. Received the confirmation email about 5 minutes later so I cancelled the preorder with AT&T. The iPhone 5 was preorder was a much better experience.

TL;DR - Will never stay up to order iPhone at midnight, will just order at 7am.

Good luck to everyone.

Been on hold with Apple customer support for 35 minutes to make a small update to shipping address.... wondering how long the wait time will be. Good thing it's a slow work day. ;)

For United States, not sure where you are.

How to get AppleCare+

Add it to your shopping cart during the checkout process when you purchase your new iPhone.

Buy it within 60 days of your iPhone purchase. Your iPhone purchase date is the date we ship and charge you for your order:

At an Apple Retail Store (requires inspection of your iPhone and proof of purchase)

By calling (800) 275-2273 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)

Same thing with me. I cancelled the AT&T order because the delivery date wasn't guaranteed. The Apple reservation reserves your iPhone so if it were me, I'd go with that. HTH.

And you were able to proceed with your Apple reservation/order right after canceling the AT&T order? How did you cancel? Online or call?

Ive never seen yelling people after the firs 2 days. You walk in and get one. Its that simple.
