I was sold on 64gb but now that iCloud is so cheap I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $100? Yeah $100 for 4x the storage is cheap but $11.99/20gb of iCloud is cheaper.
Interesting point you're making. But what about if you go on a long trip and do lots of photos and video? What if you decide to shoot a mini-film and you need all the extra storage, etc.?
Also, keep in mind that a larger screen means eventually apps will need a bit more storage space each. Plus, the iPhone runs best when the memory isn't completely full.
One more point. My sister has an 8 GB that is almost always full or close to full. Every time there is an iOS update, it needs about 1.x GB to download it, then some extra to install it. Ends up being around 2 GB or so, then takes up less once it's installed.
Add all of these things up, and I personally would never even consider 16 GB. I'm not trying to sway you either way, but keep these points in mind. If you're keeping your phone for 1 or 2 years, the extra $100 is spread out over that time, giving you value for the money.

So if I choose the pick up option, what does that mean? I go to any apple store on 19th and I have to wait in the queue or there's an other row which is for those, who pre-ordered it?
It's gonna be my first Iphone, so I don't know how these things works.
I haven't been in the lines since the iPhone 4, but here is how it worked then.
I preordered, and got there about 3 hours before the store opened to make sure I'd have a good place in line. There were two lines. One for preorders and one for non-preorders. The preorder line already had about 200 people ahead of me at that time! In addition to the 3 hours until opening, I was probably there another 3 hours before I got into the store and got my phone. They were letting about 4 people in from the preorder line for every 1 from the non-preorder line, and the whole thing was moving VERY slow.
Sounds like fun, right? Nope.
The moral of the story? Preorder online and have it shipped to your house. TRUST me. Just make it happen, even if you have to stay home from work or something. It's just not worth the line waiting.
