Does any know if I need to have both my Billing and Shipping the same with Apple Store??
My credit card has a po box billing address but i want this shipped to my house.
I'm also wondering if i need to change my address on att.com too as I have my po box on their.
Anyone else have a similar issue?

Just FYI for the ones that care, i spoke to an Apple rep this afternoon, i asked about the pre-order/store pickup stuff and this is what he said. You can pre-order the phone on 9/12 and choose the pickup option to pick up on 9/19 (release day). If you do that, you are guarantee for an iphone 6 on that day if you pick it up. This is what im going to do, i don't have to take the change for my phone to be hold back on shipping.
when i called my apple store i was told the opposite that there were no guarantees
That makes no sense though... the whole point of preordering is to reserve an item for purchase.
Well I'm preordering for shipping. I want to be as far as possible from b&m Apple Stores on 9/19. Gonna be crazy packed!
i would guess it depends on how many people show up since they dont know how much theyre getting in
The fact that they don't know tells me Apple either doesn't know how to allocate stock to their stores and/or there is miscommunication between corporate and the stores.
They can ship stuff straight from China to your doorstep, but they can't send a preorder to the local store? Maybe they should look into what Amazon does w/ Amazon Locker service.
I was told the same thing and this is how it has worked in the past, if I remember correctly. From what I understand, the only way you are truly guaranteed a phone on launch day is to preorder and have it delivered.
Anyone know if when preordering from verizon.com whether you can upgrade multiple lines at once to the 6 or if I have to go through each of my lines and preorder one by one?

So my contract is up with AT&T and im planning on getting t-Mobile instead. When I pre-order do I need to select the carrier at time of order? My contract is technically up on Sunday so I'm not yet a T-mo customer.

Huh sounds like ATT is doing a trade in deal, they'll give $300 for a 5S, $200 for the 4, 4S, 5 and 5C. If you go through them.
I had the exact same issue 2 years ago when I pre ordered the iPhone 5. Credit card billing address is my PO Box, while I was trying to have the phone ship to my home address. Apple does not ship to PO Box because UPS does not ship to PO Box. Apple ended up cancelling my order a day before shipment. Ended up having to wait in line to purchase the phone after I contacted my credit card to update the billing address to my home address. Make sure you make the same change with my credit card before pre order time.
If i remember correctly they don't charge your CC until the device is actually SHIPPED or closer to that. You should be fine.
I am pretty sure the Apple shipping address only has to match the billing address for your cellular account, not the billing address of the credit card.
Everyone is talking about using the Apple Store App but I noticed there isn't a unlocked option. Just carrier locked ones. Am I missing something?
Not that it's a huge deal, but I'm just curious. Are you guys leaving the order page with all of your options selected (model, color, carrier, etc) and expecting the greyed out "Select" button to become active in real time at 12:01AM PT? Or do you think the page will require a refresh?
Can you guys help me out? This is my first time pre-ordering an iPhone. Who should I pre-order through? Apple or Verizon? Does pre-ordering guarantee me a phone on launch day? I plan on still waiting in line as well. How does it work if the phone is shipped directly to your house? How do you set it up? Do you need to take it to the Verizon store?
Also, still debating between the 6 and 6 Plus. I printed out the cardboard cutouts that are all online, and honestly the 6 Plus wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but it's still a beast. It just looks like an oversized phone, kinda awkward. To go from conservative and incremental size increases to the 6 Plus seems like a huge change. I was dead set on the 6 but the "equal to or [slightly] better" battery life is somewhat off-putting. The only reason this decision is hard is because the 6 Plus has a higher pixel density, optical image stabilization, landscape features, and most notably a better battery. All the managers in my office are getting the 6 plus 128 GB and are saying I should do the same. Peer pressure haha. What do you guys think?

In the past, they have shut down the Apple Store site. When it reopened they were open for preorders.
Shut down as in the Apple Store site wasn't even accessible at all? Does that mean that when the site reopened, you see a new version of the pre-order page that you can't see right now?
I'm hoping they didn't say "starts shipping on the 19th" at the keynote because they're expecting the 6+ to have some sort of delay. We know it went into slightly late production, so here's hoping that both will arrive on the 19th.

I'm on AT&T Next with a HTC One M8. How does this work with going back to a 2 year contract? Paying $749 for the iPhone. Will it just add what I owe ($27 per month or whatever it is) for the HTC One every month like it has been?
