I received a shipping notice yesterday afternoon for the magnetic charging cable which arrived today. I assume I'll get a notice for the watch tomorrow. I'm not freaking out yet.

Ordered 3 minutes in, with 4/24-5/08 delivery range, and I'm still stuck at "Processing" with no charges having gone through. So in respect to this quote:

"Our team is working to fill orders as quickly as possible based on the available supply and the order in which they were received."

Bull. ****ing. ****.

It depends on supply. From the shipping estimates, it seems that they slightly overestimated the mix of 38mm watches vs 42mm watches, so 42mm watches seem to be shipping later, all else equal. But if you ordered a Space Gray 42mm at 12:01 and got a 4/24-5/8 window your order should ship before someone else's Space Gray 42mm ordered at 1:01 and got a 4-6 week window. It doesn't mean that someone who ordered a 38mm Stainless Steel with classic band at 12:30 won't ship first because they have one.

I'm not saying this launch has been perfect. Far from it. However, the fact that they are working through the backlog a bit more quickly than they expected is a good thing, not a bad thing.

 Not sure if serious.

I doubt Apple is "skipping" orders. According to their own statements, they are processing orders in the order received. Apparently some of the models are in more plentiful supply (e.g. the Stainless Steel with white sport band) and so they are able to ship them out faster than expected. What's wrong with that? Maybe they were able to resolve the production issues on certain models a bit more quickly than they expected.

my brother ordered 40 minutes after me. same exact product. mine is expected april 24, his is june. his status changed but mine hasn't.

Hooray!

Just got off the phone with Apple. Ive been waiting patiently and my status is still Processing, no cc charge yet, and not showing up on my UPS My Choice but they did tell me my watch is in Philadelphia and should be by here in Detroit by Friday. Hopefully they were telling me the truth.

They also said ones with 4/24-5/8 delivery should all arrive by Friday and definitely no later than Monday as long as their are no holds on purchase

It's nice if people get their orders early, but it's not a great advert for accurate time keeping… :D

Seriously, to all the people complaining about how Apple has skipped over their order, think of Mcdonalds! :D

Typically I find if you order a popular/limited edition burger that takes more time to make, the person serving will take your money and move onto the next customer and process their order while you wait. Would you say "Hey, no! You have to wait until I have my complete order!"? Probably not. This might mean the guy behind you will get his food before you because he ordered something else that was more readily available.

With the watch you don't need to be a logistics expert to understand that if your order was for a popular model then that order will be delayed until they can get that model. That certainly does mean they'll skip over you and move onto someone else while they're waiting for you.

And yes, I'm in the same boat. 24/4-8/5 and still not even charged for my SG watch.

Hmm...maybe time to sell my stock? I never thought these smart watches would be the next iPhone, but Apple's quick sell-out followed by this, sure looks like Apple artificially created the sellout to manufacture interest.

4/24-5/8 to be precise. Yours may still change tomorrow. I've had iPhone shipments change from "processing" to "shipped" the day before I received them (on launch day). Until he actually receives his before you do, I wouldn't be worried about it.

Ugh, but there are people that ordered that same model as you, after you ordered yours, that are getting theirs shipped already.

And I'm one of the lucky ones. Hopefully "Preparing for Shipment" at this point means I'll end up with it on Friday.

my april 24 is still processing.

scumbag apple for skipping orders to say they might ship earlier.

You too? I ordered within the first 30 seconds of 12:01 and I'm still "processing"... What the heck?

----------

Would anyone get upset if I posted a screenshot showing my SS w/ Black sport band ordered on 4/13/15 changed to preparing for shipment?

...

Meanwhile, those who have ordered around 12:01-12:03 PDT and are still sitting at 'processing items' even though the delivery window is 4/24-5/8, this is what state we are in now:

After reading this announcement, I contacted Apple using the "chat" option. Is this automated?

Oh. My. God. I Think the red boxes in the picture explains it all.
Staggering.

The pic in the article shows a Sport. Just to get this clear did any of these 4-6 week shipping people get a 42mm SS brb...it seems like and I'm sure I'm not alone all of us who ordered that model are stuck in processing purgatory hoping and waiting for our items to be charged and shipped. Just spoke with Apple and they stated that they are using free two-day shipping so if your order is still listed as "processing," it is very unlikely that we will receive them by the 24th. He said that truck usually leaves around 2:00pm PDT.

I would prefer some message to say that all orders for 24th have been fulfilled and so keep waiting as opposed to the message of 'we are shipping earlier' because it clearly will be the case for some models - but we don't know which ones. So please just say 'we are out of stock' we will start fulfilling again on Monday - or whatever day it will be.

With this type of message from Apple it sets expectations quite high and then annoys people who haven't seen any movement. I don't mind waiting, it is just the 'will I get it? Or won't I?'

I couldn't agree more...it's not so much that it may not get here on the 24th as I don't know if it will get here on the 24th. If the watches that have already gone out are it; just let us know already!

Clear communication combined with the already in place standards would really help with almost all of these concerns.

I just don't understand if they actually know this information why they don't tell people what is going on.
