Just received this email regarding a pre-order, basically saying it will ship between April 24th and May 8th and when it does ship I will get tracking info.

Assuming I will not be getting it on Friday.

And yet here I am with a 4/24-5/8 42mm SS Black Sport order that hasn't even been addressed yet.

Thanks a lot Apple you scumbag piles of garbage.

what? so because your product is still on track to delivery w/i the window given to you, apple is now a "scumbag pile of garbage" because yours isnt ready early?

christ...some of you new to put your lives in perspective. seriously.

----------

I don't like how this launch is rolling out.

you dont like that apple is able to get some units out to people earlier than their original, longer estimate? how odd.

I just can't take this. I think what makes it worse is that were not use this this large release window. Everyone is use to an exact date of delivery.

I ordered a 42 mm SS Milanese with 4/24- 5/8 delivery window and a pink aluminum 38 mm with 4-6 week delivery. Both of them still say processing and I'm in St.Louis Missouri

I really just want an update so I'm not thinking about it but seeing ppl with longer shipping times have theirs changed makes me feel like Somethings wrong with my order so it's stressful. I just want to know if I'll have my SS one by Friday so I'll know to have my roommate look out for it while I'm at work. Ugh this sucks. Maybe I should call apple.

Ordered 3 minutes in, with 4/24-5/08 delivery range, and I'm still stuck at "Processing" with no charges having gone through. So in respect to this quote:

"Our team is working to fill orders as quickly as possible based on the available supply and the order in which they were received."

Bull. ****ing. ****.

what rubbish. they didnt say "ALL" units are getting bumped up. as they said it all depends on which models theyre able to produce quickly and the order received. the launch was estimated to be 1.3 - several million....just because you may not be one of the earlier ones doesnt mean apple is lying to you, hates you, shot your dog, etc...

some people just need to put this stuff in perspective.

Fact #1 - Some have to wait for their Apple watch to ship, people bitch.

Fact #2 - Apple watch shipments to arrive sooner than expected, people bitch.

Fact #3 - People will always bitch.

Really are you sure it doesn't say delivery for May 14-28?
Cause that's what mine shows and I pre ordered mine on April 12 maybe mine will hopefully ship out soon

Checked again. I see it says available to ship in 4-6 weeks with delivers May 14- May 28. Yep I think you are correct. My bad. Too excited about the whole thing I guess.

What is interesting is the line about doing them in order. I know for a fact that is not the case.

Both myself and a friend both ordered the Space Gray Black model. I ordered mine at 12:03 and have had nothing charged . My friend at 12:13 and his has been charged. Apple not telling the whole truth in its statement.

I couldn't agree more...it's not so much that it may not get here on the 24th as I don't know if it will get here on the 24th. If the watches that have already gone out are it; just let us know already!

Clear communication combined with the already in place standards would really help with almost all of these concerns.

there is no "April 24" delivery slot, it's "April 24 - May 8". so you cant be pissed that yours may only deliver *on time*.

this could have solved this whole debacle. Apple, i'll send you my invoice for the consultation fees.

Any hopes for Apple Watches being delivered tomorrow? I would really like to see the retail packaging and unboxing of the Sports Edition.

My two Sports Edition's will be re-routed from US to Norway so I don't expect to receive those until mid May to be honest. But would love to see some unboxing in the next few days. Hopefully tomorrow?

I also hope someone will try to put the Milanese Loop onto the Silver Sports model as I'm really tempted to get the Milanese Loop but I did not want to pay the higher price for the Apple Watch compared to Apple Watch Sports until I know for sure whether these devices are actually something I feel confident investing in. I do also like the lower weight of the Sports models and I do fear the glossy steel finish might prove to be as useless as the back of the earlier iPod's in terms of scratches and then I would prefer the aluminium to be honest.

I do not fancy the Sport bands though.. I do hear people claiming they feel awesome on your hand but I have never enjoyed that plastic/rubber material and I do find it to look rather cheap looking and I do love how the Milanese Loop is looking but I fear it might look out-of-place on a silver sports model if the matt silver finish crash with the stainless steel gossy finish on the Milanese Loop.

What would you call the Stainless Steel Black watch with a Black Sport band?

SS Black Black?

You do realise that such a watch doesn't exist? The sports grey SS was only available with a link bracelet and not with a black sports band.

I guess you can "call it" whatever you want, but perhaps you might be on the wrong webpage...perhaps you are looking for the "Samsung Gear" SS black with black band, because an Apple version like that is not available!

Just got off the phone with Apple. Ive been waiting patiently and my status is still Processing, no cc charge yet, and not showing up on my UPS My Choice but they did tell me my watch is in Philadelphia and should be by here in Detroit by Friday. Hopefully they were telling me the truth.

They also said ones with 4/24-5/8 delivery should all arrive by Friday and definitely no later than Monday as long as their are no holds on purchase

42mm SS Milanese Loop ordered at 3:05am Est - 4/24 - 5/8

I want to believe you. I really do. I just can't fully let my guard down.

It's so many things on this preorder process they could've done better. Why didn't they have the appointment try on stuff happen a week before pre-orders were available so then everyone who really wanted one could've easily seen them and made a correct decision. The people who didn't preorder at the jump and actually waited to try one on got screwed I think.

Wow, what a revelation.

Well unless I've missed it, Apple have only just started to send these emails out. Just wanted to update people who may not have received the email yet.

But thanks so much for your contribution.

Clear communication combined with the already in place standards would really help with almost all of these concerns.

But the issue is that they can't make blanket statements like that because there are so many different configurations available (54 if you count all the band sizes). That's why they gave shipment windows. If Apple could have been precise with every order they would have been. Clearly they had some major supply chain issues with this and the MacBook, and something broke down, so they chose to underpromise and overdeliver in terms of shipment window estimates. If you received a 4/24-5/8 shipment window and it arrives on May 8th, then they kept their promise. Just because someone who they initially said "June" might get it on Friday or next week doesn't change that. My guess is that they didn't arbitrarily tell that person "June" but generated an estimate based on the number of orders for that model and what they thought would be produced by then. If their supplier managed to resolve an issue and get that product back in stock sooner than expected, then the shipment dates will move up.

Stuck still

I have been stuck since monday with preparing for shipment, and no change, been trying to find any tracking info, to no luck. I wanted to plan according to the day of it coming.

I wish that the Apple Store app had an entitlement sensor and denied orders to all these people who feel so entitled and so hurt that they don't get what they want when they want it.

Or maybe an IQ test that asks questions like: "If the estimate is April 24-May 8th does this mean that you will get the watch on the 24th?"

Lot of people here would score really low on that IQ test.
