Meh, Ted Lasso is okay. I guess compared to most of the trash on TV today, it's decent, which is why it is getting renewed. It might have made it past the first season if it came out in the 80's or 90's when there was actual competition, but I doubt it.

Season 2 was so good! I heard they start filming of season 3 in March even though it has not officially been picked up yet (in the media). I wish it had less "present day" scenes though.

Agreed. And I'd add that one of the more inane aspects of internet comments is the inevitable "well, that's just your opinion" or "but that's just my opinion." Like, no kidding. It's the internet - you didn't really have to explain that. I think we all know that RandomGuy3793 is not expressing the view of the Encyclopedia Brittanica's advisory board here.

Not a soccer person myself either, but I took a chance and watched it this month. I really enjoyed the show. Loved season 1. Season 2 was ok. I binged season 1 and 2 in a week. So yeah, I'd say give it a chance. Watch at least 2 episodes before deciding.

I think soccer is a supremely flawed and boring sport. I love the show. Because in the end it’s the characters that matter not the specific sport they are playing.

Did I mention anything other than it revolves around football, no. I responded to a comment saying the show is about people, not football. While there are people acting in the show, the shows premise revolves around football, period.
