no. clearly, when we've seen a number of immigrants and visa holders go a Jihady on folks it's not. time to stop, review and implement a new policy.
So you believe there will ever be a 100% watertight procedure? And what about the recent event in Canada? Should Trump supporters also be vetted in the same way to secure the nations?

I'll take shooting for perfection and settling on excellence. What we have in place now is mediocre at best. If ultimately there's no way to extreme vet these people then I vote they not be let in. If Canada or Germany or somewhere else who is willing to take a risk want them, go for it.

his reaction isn't a product of Trump. that dudes anger is targeting what he feels is an issue within the Canadian System and is for them to figure out. if you want to blame Trump or Brexit to feel better that's up to you.

It's kinda hard to do when the biggest one is sitting in White House.

I'm not sure who you're referring to - there are any number of people who could be seated in the White House right now. Even still, I'm sure the president will have them fired if they are discovered to be an Islamic terrorist.

Exactly the reason I'm not going to US any time soon, until a reasonable person is elected. But some good will come out of this too, at least we will know all the nut jobs in all the places.

What is mediocre about the current system and what would improve it in your eyes. I take it you are informed about this issue.

He was a Trump supporter. It would be wise of the Canadians to keep Trump-supporters for extended vetting to keep their nation safe.

They already figured it out: he hated Muslims enough to kill them at a private mosque. And he wasn't an immigrant.

Your loss, I guess. Just don't hold your breath for a president you'll consider "reasonable"... it's going to be a while.

I hope we can figure out where they are. That way we can crush ISIS definitively. The prior administration didn't accomplish that.

You will of course have the right to disagree, however is not the well being of his employees an important responsibility of his day job?
Not a peep from Tim when Obama signed the ACA or the ndaa. Did those not negatively effect some employees? Or was it just not worth it for Timmy to complain about a democrat?

These celebrities and ceos need to stop crying about losing the election, it just makes them look like morons.

ISIS is lead by Sunni Baathists who were officers of Saddam Hussein's army prior to it's dissolution by the Bush administration. It's not a coincidence that their greatest "success" militarily was specific to areas like the Sunni Triangle in their own home country, but bogged down and was much less successful when they attempted to control Shiite or Kurdish areas in Iraq.

By your comments, you know little to nothing about Quebec and it's people. Educate yourself on the many levels of intolerance that occur daily, in that province ... read about the ongoings of the language police and Bill 62.

This kid wasn't a messenger for Trump as you so boldly portend, but rather a lone wolf dealing with his own demons in society. So, until this case really unfolds, and it's highly doubtful we'll ever know the full extent of this kid's emotions, best you just shut it.

Have we not seen the system let through dangerous people on visas here? Yes. Has the FBI and Homeland security not shown reports that there are over 1,000 investigations currently open in the US as they monitor and track dangerous people that the system has let in? Yes, we have. We're lucky to call what we have mediocre really.

Again, Trump had nothing to do with his anger and rage or tendency to murder. Just like guns, people seem to like to point to "something" in response to incidents like this because violence, murder and insanity are in all of us but thankfully as individuals most of us can control those things but they aren't something you or others can take away or control. So given that the response is to try and remove or blame something else. How's that working? Trump isn't their President and AK's are not something they can easily get if at all legal.

In the end it may give you comfort to blame Trump but it won't do you any good.

Winning elections doesn't mean lack of opposition to your policy.

So, basically, you're admitting that individuals control their own actions and that banning immigrants from specific countries isn't going to change that? Good to know.

Lol, that's not what is happening. They re all upset about trump winning, they demonize everything he does. Lack of celebrity opposition?

How many millions of dollars did Cook personally donate to the hellary campaign?

If there was a CEO who donated and campaigned for trump, the media/sheep would say their opinion is moot because he/she is just a paid trump talking head.

Is Tim seriously considering opposing the president cuz of a temporary inconvenience? I dunno if that's ballsy or egotistic. Also I read Trump made a phone call to the middle east and they're setting up safe zones for refugees over there, so there's that.

Very true, but the problem for the opposition this time is the other team has the White House, Congress, and soon the Supreme Court. If the Pubbies in DC get tired of hearing the screeching from the left, they'll turn up the volume on their iPods.

Was that also so bad that some of the employees was prevented from fulfilling their job duty?
Yes, it allowed the federal government to detain and hold Americans without trial or charges. ACA also forced millions of Americans into a healthcare system they wanted no part of and made a ton of people switch doctors.

It is a 90 day moratorium on 6 countries Obama himself identified as needing further vetting before entry as travellers. During that 90 days it would be far more productive for all the folks objecting to it, and threatening to sue over it, to participate in the process to improve vetting. Apple for example has millions of customers in those countries with Apple ID's which required some form of ID to obtain. Location services tells where they live and work. So if a country has no database or does not share it, that person can voluntarily allow limited info to be released to aid vetting. They want entry to the USA and are not protected by the Constitution, so likely would cheerfully agree.

Is there an app for that? "Extreme Vetting, visit the USA" $0.99 on the Apple app store and Google Play. :D

Yeah. I'm deaf to it. Liberals will NEVER like ANYTHING Trump does. After 20 million jobs are created they will still be in an outrage. We found out this election there are enough reasonable Americans to save us from this liberal insanity. Thank God!

20m jobs? What's he going to do for an encore? Pull a rbbit out of his backside?

Interesting numbers, but compared to 80 million yearly visitors, and over a million naturalized citizens per year, those are not high numbers. But what I asked for was how can it be improved?

But of course this does not apply to muslims, or all people from the countries in the executive order in your view. They are "something" one can point to instead of the actual perpetrators.
