Got the rejection email last night

I too was hoping for the status update email, alas got the working on it email. I ordered the 42mm SG BSB. I received the conf email at 12.04 PST and am still hoping to see some movement very soon. Is the confirmation email the same as the order time? I feel like I ordered sooner than 12.04 but can't see anything other than the received time for the confirmation email.

If you really want a kick in the teeth.
I ordered mine at 12:04 42MM stainless with classic buckle. My buddy forgot to order and got up about 5am and ordered his. He ordered the exact same watch I did, his is in the ready to ship state, even though it says May for delivery, and mine isn't. I got the email last night also, and he didn't.
So I don't know what is going on, but I feel they have REALLY dropped the ball on this one. All sorts of people all over TV have them, celebrities have them. And yet I sit and wait because I pre-ordered like they told me to.

Wow, that is BS. I ordered early as well and am stuck with a May 13-27 ship date. SG Sport with black band.

After looking at the google spreadsheet, which I was hoping someone would start like they did for the Mac Pro, I ordered the "mac pro" of all watches.

I ordered the 42MM Space Black SS watch. I was under the impression you could order any SS watch in SS or SB and get the band with that "model". My goal was to originally get the Space Black with the Black Classic Buckle, since I'm so use to wearing that kind of a strap on a watch. But of course day of ordering, you couldnt customize the watch and you had to order from the 20 models listed. I thought this was strange but oh well. I then quickly got my 42MM Space Black with the link bracelet ordered @ 2:05am and got a confirmation instantly. Looked and it said June.

I know this watch was specifically 4-6 weeks before people started ordering and I was as close to the front of the line that when I got June, I figured I would get it late May or early June. Figured this would be the rarer of them all. I have a feeling apple is having issues with the clean black stainless steel. Hell this watch is so rare they didn't have them at the apple try on tables. I asked the apple specialist and he said all stores were notified that this watch was ONLY on display and mid-late may, stores will be receiving try on demo's of this watch.

My plan is to get the watch, and exchange the band for a Classic Buckle. I wouldn't mind the link bracelet if apple found a way for it to not pinch your hair every time you put it on, BUT I still would rather take the classic buckle.

Who else ordered a SB SS? I think the black is the CLEANEST watch. I also prefer not to see or show off my watch, so Ive always like a nice black watch. I loved my Black Pebble Steel. It was super clean and no one noticed it.

This notice, like the launch itself seems to be filled with contradictions. I had a strong feeling this would be a rather convoluted and very different launch.

Now that it's coming true the mainstream press and all tech writers are certainly enjoying all they have to talk about. I know one thing, it's quite interesting.

i ordered the same thing!

I too ordered the SB SS with Link in 42mm flavor. Looking at the google doc spreadsheet i can see a grand whopping 4 people have as well. I cannot fathom how this model was already delayed BEFORE pre-ordering, and how it went to June shipping within the first 90 seconds. It appears very few respondents purchased this watch. If this is a sample size of real orders across the spectrum, it is clearly NOT the most popular, so how did it fare so badly in Apples manufacturing scheme?

Good god people you make it sound as if you won't be able to function if you don't have your watch on the 24th. How are you functioning now?

Just barely. Like the little kitty on the branch, we've just gotta keep hanging on! :D

I was SO close to ordering the SG Stainless, but only coming with the link band, I couldn't quite justify the cost on a 1st Gen device, so I went with my second best, the SG Sport.

Black has always been an issue on aluminum for apple. Now with stainless steel, I have a feeling they perfected it with the mac pro, but the size of the watch and the finish, I have a feeling they went through a lot of hell getting it perfect which caused delays.

I talk to one of the apple specialist who set up the table the night before and he said all 9 people LOVED the black, but the price was killing them. Even though they get 50% off. He tried it on before putting it in the table, and said it just disappeared. Thats what I want out of a watch and thats why I ordered it.

Same here, but thats why Im also swapping the band. I was told bands were swappable before it become a article today on mac rumors. I assumed that when the page said "Stainless Steel or Space Black" that each model you would have an option, but on the day of pre orders you didn't. I don't think apple's wording is bad, I just have a feeling that with how delayed these watches are, they are not letting people select "stainless steel or space black" until they have enough stock.

Has anyone gotten he email of death and then gotten charged and moved to preparing for shipment or is this pretty much a guarantee we will not be getting them tomorrow?

EOD Last Night... Email To Tim... Call From Apple Team before Noon...

Was confirmed at x:03 on 4/10 for a 42SS w BSB. Received the EOD last night around 11PM and then about an hour later fired off a email to Tim.

Just received an unknown call and let go to voice mail. It was a call from a Apple rep on their executive relations team and followed it up with an email to me. So I called them back. He said he couldn't comment on other orders shipping and the time they were received but they were working hard on getting orders out. He did say that it was still in the delivery window provided 4/24 to 5/8 but still couldn't give a more specific time. He said he would continue to look at it and provide updates as well... hope that just didn't move me back to the end of the line!

grrrr

I ordered two watches.

Both stainless steel - one with the black classic buckle, and the other space black, with the bracelet.

Both say "Processing, " with the buckle watch saying 4/24 - 5/8, and the Space Black one says June.

Haven't been charged yet.

I ordered by phone, and was all done by 10 after.

Anyone else have shipping confirmation on EITHER of these watches? I'm seeing that the stainless models seem to be in short supply. Truth?

Guess I ordered the wrong watch.

Wow... Seems like my model of SS 42mm is really stuck on Processing.

Thanks for sharing this numbers

If true... Seems like they are in emergency mode

I order my 42mm Stainless steel with rubber band at 12:03 am. I got the "we're working on your order" email. Still haven't heard anything. Weird I could order a watch 3 minutes after it goes on sale and not know the status at all. :(

So I've accepted the fact that I won't be receiving my watch tomorrow like I had hoped for. But my question now is, will they be shipping them to us every day out of the next two weeks? Or will we all have to wait for next Friday or the Friday after that? What do hall guys think?

Btw I ordered:
42 MM SGS BSB
3:04 CST (Texas)
4/24-5/8
Received the dreaded email

Maybe... Not sure but a copy of the email is below... blurred out reps name and direct phone # to protect him.

What's also interesting to note is that after I spoke to Apple yesterday to get a status, a charge for AppleCare appeared on my card mysteriously.

Then at about 11:00 last night I got the email of death. There are a lot of strange things happening.

Hey all just so everyone knows...

I bought two SS BSB, one 42mm and one 38mm within the first 5 minutes of it going on sale.

My 38mm one has moved to "preparing to ship" just a few hours ago.

My 42mm one is "Still processing"

I received the dreaded "we are working on your order" email for my 42mm order.

Not good.

I think this really has to do with a delay with steel black sport band batch specifically. Seems like everyone is in the same boat for this model, size and band selection.

Just like you, i ordered one of each space gray/black band in 38mm and 42 within the first 5 minutes.

42mm - I got the 4/24 - 5/8 shipping window, today i got the e-mail stating they haven't shipped anything yet. My confirmed order time was 12:03 EDT.

38mm - Slipped all the way to 5/13 - 5/27 with a confirmed order time of 12:05 EDT. Still processing, no e-mails (fair enough, they at least gave me the later ship time on this one)

I haven't been charged for either, so it seems quite clear that I won't be seeing the 42mm tomorrow.

When I pre-ordered the iPhone 6 and 6plus, I had basically the same situation, but they sent both items to me at the earliest shipping date. Looks like this time, I will prob get them separately and not for another week, at least.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone who got this email actually gets a watch (any configuration) on April 24. If no one does, I would have appreciated the date being moved up to something realistic so I know what to expect.

I get the impression if they move the 4/24 part of the range to something later, Apple fears they will get cancellations. This seems more important than being honest with the customer at the moment.

I don't know what the truth is, but Apple has left too much room for negative perception in their communications on this product launch.

Disappointed...yes...end of the world, no.

I am one of those 42SS BSB. Does not surprise me I got the email which clearly telegraphs later than 4/24. I was not fond of the 4/24-5/8 range given since my order was confirmed at 2:06AM CST. That said, I think the 42SS BSB will turn out to be the most popular model and thus is the reason for the delay. Not happy I won't see it Friday, but, no doubt I'll see it my 5/8. Apple does hit its marks.

We don't have to look too far at the new IT product landscape to identify companies who are just as obscure with their launch dates (Spring 2015, Second Quarter 2105, etc...). It is new products like COIN, Stratos, Plastc that have HEAVY marketing campaigns sucking people in to preorders only for the customer to see that they have a September 2015 ship date or late summer. I HATE these estimates that far in to the future when these companies may never deliver the product. COIN is one company that comes to mind. I save my rage for these companies. Apple will deliver.

I called Apple last night in hopes of a status change and the actually kind of rude representative (which is odd for Apple, they're normally SUPER friendly on the phone) told me that "millions of people stayed up and ordered the watch at the same time I did, and that its basically the luck of the draw on when you'll get it"

So that's cool.
