Apple Contacting Some Early Apple Watch Customers: 'We're Working on Your Order'

I ordered at 12:01, SS with black sports band, confirmation of pre order 4/24-5/8
Nothing charged, still processing. Oh well
SS with Black Sports Band here. I thought this would be the most popular combination, but also the most produced. Hmmm.
Let's not forget that it's just a watch.

I wonder if they sent this e-mail to everyone within the time frame 4/24 - 5/8.. if not, this e-mail isn't good..
From what I've seen, it's only those still in processing.
What is confusing and frustrating for people is that Apple doesn't seem to be fulfilling orders in the order in which the order was ordered.
For example, I placed my order 90 seconds after midnight and I'm still stuck in "Processing". People who ordered the exact same model 5 minutes after me are being "Prepared for Shipment".
Obviously, the supply is constrained which is understandable, but if Apple fulfills these watches out-of-order, people are going to be pissed.

This is what they meant to say "please stop calling us to ask about your watch. The truth is, if you ordered a space grey sport, you're screwed for launch day. Thanks!"
Honestly i cant see how anyone can be annoyed at this email. Any way you look at it, it's a positive. They are either letting you know in advance that you wont be getting yours on the 24th but you will get it in the window that they committed to all along.
Alternatively, they are just reiterating that deliveries are going ahead as scheduled and there is no delay in getting you watch in the above mentioned window.
Lose the sense of self entitlement people, they haven't done anything wrong here.

People spent a lot of money on this product.
The fact that Apple is the richest company in the world doesn't help.
It's the frustration that comes from purchasing something from a company that should have their **** together.
Functioning quite normally myself, but I get where you're coming from.
Not everyone has received one or the other.
Others haven't been updated at all.
Apple confirmed earlier today, that some would arrive sooner than expected,
but then some might come later now? Seems very un-Apple.
+2 same order and confirmed time. I just finished reading about the apple email in another forum when I saw it in my inbox. Oh well. Just have to wait and see how this all works out.
What S!&* is this??? I did't get up at 3 am to receive the email of death!!! And don't give me that "there is a window" crap, people with May and June delivery dates (some who obviously ordered in the morning) are getting their watches on launch and we are getting screwed over BIG TIME!
I preordered a 42mm Steel Watch w/ Black Sport Band on 4/10 @ 12:03 PDT. I got this email and the way I'm interpreting it is since a good number of people on these forums who ordered the same watch as me still have yet to get a change in order status that, we will be getting our watches sometime next week. I'm trying to be optimistic and hope that I will be pleasantly surprised on Friday, but don't want to have my hopes shatter when I have no package to open.

Really? This is why Apple can get away with stuff like this because they know people will turn their heads the other way when something like this happens.
I'm a big fan just like you but this whole Apple Watch launch has been a mess. I didn't preorder one or even plan on buying one but some here ordered minutes after preorders opened and received this email. What a joke.
I ordered a SS with black sports band and got email confirmation at 3:03am EST, and my CC got charged at 6pm EST today and the order now says preparing for shipment.
I'm thinking this may be a geographical thing. A lot of Canadian users were getting tracking numbers. Maybe they'll send out shipping information tomorrow? Don't see the need for cynicism.
I didn't get the email and my order for my wife's 38mm aluminum sport pink was ordered at 12:01 PST and still listed as "processing" with no credit card charges. I live in Salem, Oregon.

I bought two SS BSB, one 42mm and one 38mm within the first 5 minutes of it going on sale.
My 38mm one has moved to "preparing to ship" just a few hours ago.
My 42mm one is "Still processing"
I received the dreaded "we are working on your order" email for my 42mm order.
Not good.
I think this really has to do with a delay with steel black sport band batch specifically. Seems like everyone is in the same boat for this model, size and band selection.
