To anyone trying to call out anyone that's upset they aren't getting their watch on launch day:

1) People paid a lot of money for these devices.

2) There's always been a sense of pride in being an early adopter with Apple. Literally the only way to get (a chance) on launch day was online. Most of us checked out within seconds of the store opening. Part of Apple, whether you admit it or not is the Cool factor. The having it first factor. No one could camp outside of stores for this one.

3) People in later shipping windows, with the same SKUs, that ordered later --- ARE ALREADY GETTING THEIR SHIPPING INFORMATION AHEAD OF EARLIER PURCHASERS. Supply constraints are understandable. But please fulfill orders in the order they were received, not all caddywhompus golden ticket style.

4) Orders were placed 11 days ago. Besides the initial e-mail, and now this one, there has been no communication in regards to any delays. It shouldn't be that hard to get us an actual ship date at this point, unless the launch has been botched so badly, that they have no idea.

5) It's an Apple forum. People are gonna get all pissy about every little thing. Most Apple Fan Boys (myself included) have some sense of elitism, entitlement and can get a bit emotional about physical objects. Cut us some slack. ;)

I didn't order the Watch. Will I survive on Friday not having one? :D

What the heck is Angela doing at Apple?!? This is no way to launch an Apple product. First come first serve please! Not impressed with her retail implementation here.

I have a still "processing" 42mm SS BSB and I have not received the email (yet).

Ordered 3:01AM EDT
Order Confirmation Email Received 3:03AM EDT

What's really odd is from reading other posts it seems the 42mm SS BSB was one of the last configs to have its original delivery dates slip on 4/10, yet by and large it appears to be the last config that people are getting ship notices for (on a macro scale, of course)...

Apple is getting into lottery business..everything is lottery these days, waking up at midnight and be the first one to order won't guarantee you anything.

I cannot, even for one second, believe apple didn't know the Space Gray Sport & SS BSB were going to be huge hits. I have seen maybe 10 people say they have "preparing to ship" and NONE with a tracking number. Did a plane fall out of the sky with all the Space Gray's and SS BSB's on it?

Like others have said, it is seriously ridiculous they can fulfill orders of others who waited until the morning to order theirs. We are obviously some of Apple's biggest fans, and to let us down is a real ***** experience.

Way to go, :apple:.

I think you'll be fine as:

A) you didn't spend a lot of money
B) You're not all about the early adopter action
C) You aren't getting jumped in line
D) You have nothing to be left in the dark about and
E) You seem to have a wonderful sense of humor ;)

I was given a 4-6 week shipping window at the time I ordered, and I think it would be foolish of me to suddenly expect this thing to show up at my door on Friday. I'm not sure why people are getting so riled up. If you were promised launch day and aren't getting it on launch day, ok, I can see why you'd be disappointed.

In the end though, it's not going to ruin your entire life to not have this thing on the day you're insisting on having it. It's a watch. You spent a lot of money on it? Well, yeah, a lot of people did apparently. You always have the option of getting your money back and going with a different option. Hell, you can even just cancel your order now and not even get charged in the first place.

This is what we call a first world problem. If you don't like it, don't jump on a new product on day 1 next time. In some parts of the world people are worried that they might be killed on Friday or won't have enough food to feed their families. In the first world, we're fretting about our luxury watches.

Ordered the SS with black sport band at 12:04 am PDT. Have had the infernal "processing item" status and the delivery window of 4/24 - 5/8 ever since. Received the email which tells me absolutely nothing new about an hour ago.

My issue is that at this point, it would be better have been told something/anything new. Shrink the delivery window to anything less than two weeks, maybe?

Apple's notorious secrecy is not the strategy for them to be deploying right now. I find it hard to believe they actually don't know anything more specific, at this point, less than 48 hours before launch. So, they are just being opaque.

Did one guy just compare books to a watch . It's much easier to print books and there aren't different model of books ( what paperback and hardcover ??) lol not the best example

But it's late and people are frustrated . I am too but hey they never promised everyone will get them on launch and when has everyone who ordered something get it on launch there always backorder or people get them later .

Stay positive say you still get it Friday . What if it comes Monday ??? Will u enjoy is any less?? Probably not

The only thing I can think of is

a) They were actually really prepared for them, and they're sitting in palettes at apple disto centers all across the US just waiting to be overnight shipped tomorrow...

or

b) there was some major manufacturing problem on the black bands and / or the black watches that's causing a major delay.

I'm sincerely hoping it's A but... Time will tell
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Chill out people, I've never seen so many drama queens. We'll see tomorrow what the deal is, but I bet we'll get our watches the 24th. And if we don't? Boohoo, we'll probably have to wait until Monday. It's a release of a new product of course there will be some bumps int he road.

Sheesh, I'm usually one to criticize Apple, but honestly this happens every single release. People freak the **** out about their delivery, and then most get it the original day Apple said they would. Step away from the computer and get some fresh air. You're not entitled to anything.

Wtf!!!

I'm tired of preordering things to not get them on launch. It happened with my iPhone 6. Every other time it has been no problem, smooth as silk. What's changed? Go back to the way it was before. Preorder and get your tech first. And make stupid Beyoncé and pherrell wait like the rest of us!

Expecting my order to arrive on time.

So excited to get started with Apple Watch. This could be one of the most important products Apple has ever launched. The potential for this Apple Watch to change lives is truly without limits.

It's like when u order something online they say shipping is 3-5 days
Guess what it can soon as 3 or late as 5 days .long as it comes within range they delivered

AGAIN I ALWAYS WOULD LIKE MINE FRIDAY!!!!
I do feel like they should have made more space grey watches

Huge Apple fan since day one or I guess before, but I am starting to go along with the general feeling that Apple has really blown this launch.

They should have allowed people to come into stores and see the watch on the 10th, preorder on 17th and then receive orders on the 24th via shipping to their home, pick-up at store AND the customary long lines in front of the stores.

They really dropped the ball on this one. I get it. This is not a product with two variations to it, it's more complicated and such but this is getting a bit ridiculous. Not sure any of this is Angela's doing/fault, but not liking this new direction.

How long will Angela last is the question haha no but really heads should be rolling after this disastrous launch

Did anybody else order a 42 SS Milanese band that received this email? I see a lot of talk about 42 SS with Black Sports Bands still processing...

I got this email too. Total ********. I ordered and received confirmation at 3:03am EST on the 10th and still processing. They're clearly not shipping in the order in which pre-orders were received. I ordered a 42mm SS with black sport band. This is worse than an Android software update launch.

Seriously? You going to pull a "first world problem" here? Thank you. I forgot there are starving people everywhere. I fortunately am not one, and as a product of that, would prefer I get a luxury experience for the luxury product I bought. Sure, trivial–but I can't be expected not be frustrated about company who usually delivers, hypes up a product on the basis they always deliver, changes their retail policy all of a sudden, and then fails me–all while sending me an email saying the exact thing I have already read 40 times today. Why not just tell me it is or isn't coming. By now, they should have a pretty good idea.

Same watch and ordering time as you, but haven't received the dreaded email yet and mine still says processing...

Where's Ron Johnson when you need him? ;)

Maybe if there is a manufacturing issue, it's with the sport band, and not the watch itself? Hm.

Yes, I can see how this is completely ruining your life.
