I have a list of irritating bugs I hope they'll get around to fixing but with Apple's track record I'm not optimistic on seeing fixes for any of them soon... I'd put the fact that my AirPods sound like utter sh*t now on my Mac and nothing I've tried has fixed them as #1 priority, although that's macOS not iOS. I don't expect any of the ugly or bad UI decisions to be corrected for a year or more.

Absolutely atrocious battery life on my 15 Pro (89% battery health). It was great on 18.7 and I wish I hadn't updated to 26.
Same exact thing for me. I expect some battery difference but this is stupid. It’s like there’s an energy vortex in the battery that just sucks everything down in no time.

I experienced a very strange brightness bug on my new 17 Pro Max yesterday. The screen suddenly went to high brightness, and the brightness control behaved abnormally (would not go to normal minimum brightness). I had to power-cycle the phone to clear that issue.

CarPlay has actually been working fine for me, oddly enough.
Came here looking to see if other people had brightness issues. I had to turn off the automatic brightness (which is now hidden within accessibility instead of on the display/brightness settings page, where anyone with half a brain would assume they could find it) because the display would remain dark half the time I woke it up. I'd have to hit the power/lock button to lock it then wake it up again to get back to normal brightness.

I usually wait for the first minor update before upgrading my OS, but this time I threw caution to the wind, and I really regret it. Learn from my mistake, folks.

The thing that drives me absolutely mad is the animation of the keyboard in Safari, when it switches from light to dark depending on the background. For instance, if I open the keyboard with a dark background, the keyboard starts as bright then immediately does an animation down from the left corner to switch to dark. Having two modes is one thing, but why the animation?

yeah they need to fix this battery drain and how battery usage is determined in system settings...... iPhone 14 Pro and getting two hours of screen on time and consuming 50% of battery. Final beta had better battery life than this

The stuttering and lag on iPhone 17 pro is ridiculous. Honestly gives the perception the upgrade wasn’t worth it

Happens in 26.1 beta too
Swiping Home Screen after exiting an app by chance? The 26.1 beta has been shocking for this on my Air. 26.0 was smooth as silk but since installing this first 26.1 beta if I go to swipe across home screens right after exiting an app it’s almost always got a massive stutter. If i wait a moment before swiping it’s fine. No other stuttering throughout the OS and Safari is perfectly fine, just the damn home screens.

So far I haven’t seen many bugs on my 14 PM and I’m actually warming up to Liquid Glass. Bug fixes are always welcome, though.

I have a 14 PM and haven't noticed anything of the sort. Are you sure there's no rogue app or some kind of indexing/calibration going on?

I’ve had a week of horrible battery but it is now normalized. This is just the same old panic that happens every year, when the new version comes out and the phone is re-indexing everything. Let’s talk again in a month.

iOS 26.1 is already in beta testing, and that version should include the same bug fixes that come with iOS 26.0.1.

This is carefully and accurately phrased. There is no guarantee a 26.1 beta will include all of the fixes being tested in 26.0.1. Staying out of the beta stream can actually get you better bug fixes faster.

The final 26.1 will ship with all those bug fixes, of course, there's just no guarantee they get merged over from 26.0.1 for a particular beta. Betas for .1s have missed fixes from released .0.1s before.

Still waiting for my 17 Pro Max to be delivered. Think by then this update will be available and hopefully I won't face these issues.
