<U2's latest album is $11.99> "What a ripoff!"
<U2's latest album is free> "U2 sucks... remove this non sense."
Sometimes there's just no winning. I know, I know, nobody should be forced to download such vile music /s
Personally I will give it a listen and only keep songs that I like. Thanks U2 &![]()
I like U2 but realize that people don't want stuff forced down their throats. I guess this tool decreased the support call time.
It seems as this whole spectacle basically (and unsurprisingly) boils down to jealousy.
Do people react this way when the waiter gives them a bowl of sugar sachets for their coffee?
My upbringing has forced me to discriminate between hyperbole and genuine travesties of injustice and to conserve my outrage for the latter...
1st world problems, jeez
<U2's latest album downloaded automatically and ate up my bandwidth>
I don't understand the complaints. The album was never downloaded to my phone. I had to download it manually. I believe before I did that it was playable from the cloud, but it was not downloaded. So what was the problem?
@5t3f4n, what's your email address I have some promotional advertising I'd like to send you. Don't worry it's free! Just post your primary email address and I'll send them right out to you. Once again, it's free!
I have my reasons for not liking Bono and have held them for many years. Nothing to do with his music. His work being force fed onto my phone offended me due to my reasons for disliking him, so I'm glad it's deleted.
Doesn't it make more sense to just spread the word about the free album? You simply go to that iTunes album (via banner or whatev), the price says FREE, and you download it if you want to.
Google Play does that just fine and it's easy to understand... temporarily free if you want it, if not, ignore it.
Oh man you must be so peachy to work with in the office.
No, it seems as if there are apple fanboys bending over backwards to ignore the real reason people are complaining.
Do those sugar sachets download a hundred megs to the phone or computer without my permission? Do those sugar sachets sit in the iTunes library and can't be deleted?
Do you see why your analogy might be a poor one?
Shame your upbringing didn't teach you what a straw man argument is. And nice ironic/hypocritical mention of hyperbole there.
As is everything posted on this and every other technology site. Was there a memo that went out saying we were supposed to stop discussing Apple and switch to discussions about inability to get fresh water and basic medical treatment?
Fixed that for you.
My emails worked, finally, that dreaded noise is out of all my devices / computers. YES!!! I voted for the RIGHT to choose what goes on my devices, no one else!
I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
^_^
You are ridiculous. Apple does a nice gesture and people go ham on it. I'm not a U2 fan but I appreciate the effort and gift from Apple. Instead of people saying 'Thanks Apple' you got this bozo with his stupid logic.
No one downloaded squat until they clicked/touched the cloud icon, for then it is truly downloaded to the device. Anyone saying that the U2 album was downloaded to their devices doesn't know what they are talking about or did the former.
Rather than letting customers choose to download the album on their own, however, Apple pushed it to iTunes accounts, causing some devices to automatically download the album without explicit user permission.
I'm 40 and can safely say that the millennials are the worst generation in the history of the USA... Complaining about one of the greatest rock bands in the history of music... if you don't like U2, then there is something wrong with you.
I deleted it, mainly because the act of deletion of an unwanted album seems to annoy people.
