Fine, deal with it with actions, not words.
My action was through the use of words. I simply don't want Apple to think this is an acceptable way to "share" music. What do they think this is, 1984? Wait... bad example.
Fine, deal with it with actions, not words.
It would be more useful to be able to delete purchases permanently from the purchase history. Like apps that you downloaded to try them and they were rubbish, songs that someone downloaded when they were twelve and now don't want anybody to know about, and so on.
then don't listen to it. It may have been added to your library, but that doesn't mean you have to listen to it.
I'm 40 and can safely say that the millennials are the worst generation in the history of the USA. Complaining about free music. Complaining about one of the greatest rock bands in the history of music. Just absolutely amazing.
Seriously, if you don't like U2, then there is something wrong with you. This probably explains why you (a millennial) have made so many bad mistakes in life, like being in debt so much. Maybe if you spent less time complaining about getting free music and more time learning some useful skills, then you wouldn't need to sell your organs to pay the rent.
Then don't listen to it.
I don't want it on my device to begin with.
I don't understand how Apple could have thought this was going to work?
A lot of people didn't understand that it hadn't been downloaded to their device but equally how did Apple think that U2 was a universally liked sound?
To all those out there who feel that this junk album forced deep down all of our unwilling throats is some kind of a generous "gesture or gift" are completely out of your minds, seriously! Ever heard of invasive advertisement tactics? If Tim and Bono were really so generous, they should give out 25 + million grants of 30, 000 + dollars to independent artists who create original works every day! Make those grants available weekly and then buy those albums, and give those away for free as promoting hardworking independent artists!!!
Showing props where they ought to be!
LOVE you all so much!
someone put a slice of cake on my table. I didnt ask for it. Now, my options are to eat the cake or throw the cake in the bin. Why should i have to throw the cake in the bin? I didn't put it there? Whoever put it there should put it in the bin and not insult me by putting it there in the first place.
No-one likes cake.

Then you're lucky, there's an option in the iTunes Store to hide iCloud purchases.
The album is so terrible it should be considered malware.
I never actually got the album and I want it. Nothing in my iTunes library.
I don't listen to U2, actually I don't listen to rock music period!!!, I don't want crap that takes up the already little 16 gb of space.
would you want a bunch of dildos sent to your house all the time?
If you don't like U2's music, then there is something wrong with you.
NEWSFLASH : NOT EVERYONE LIKES U2 !!!
And to think that "there is something wrong with people" that don't like U2 is a very pompous and ridiculous thing to say.
Millions LOVE the Beatles and I completely understand why they are so popular. Guess what? I'm not a fan of the Beatles. I don't hate the Beatles, and there's nothing wrong with me. It's no big deal. I feel the exact same why about Bruce Springsteen.
I'm a big fan of SEAL, NIN, Depeche Mode and Tears for Fears. Do I expect EVERYONE to like these bands? No, of course not. And it wouldn't ever occur to me that "there is something wrong with people" if they didn't like or support the bands that I really am into.
Next time, put a little bit of thought before you post such ridiculous and foolish statements like the this one.
U2 is one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and an argument could be made that they are indeed the greatest.
If you don't like U2's music, then there is something wrong with you. This is what happens when an entire generation of kids grows up on Britney spears and Justin Bieber. No wonder the millennials are the worst generation in US history.
Why get mad? It should be irrelevant if you don't like this music. Ignore it and the 'problem' goes away on October 13th. If it happened to download automatically, what exactly have you lost? If Kim Kardashian had the same deal with Apple, people would find it hilarious and probably make her the fastest selling artist of all time. Get mad? Relax, enjoy the music or do some yoga.Who actually thought that was a good idea? The people who act like others are ungrateful because they don't want the damn album are probably the ones who actually like that type of music. All of these people would probably get mad if a crappy chief keef album was added to their itunes account without their permission. I know it's crazy... but not everyone likes U2 or listens to that type of music.
