More meh.

This ad wasn't as objectionable as the last ones, thanks to the absence of the obnoxious voice-over.

Nonetheless, it seemed far-fetched. 1.5 million 'hand-picked' apps? Come on.

And I didn't get the differentiation to Google's App Store. All we got was some pretty pictures.

And still the same moronic tag line.

I'm pretty loyal to the Apple brand/ecosystem, and even I find this ad patronising and off-putting. Imagine we talked to our friends in that tone of voice when comparing our iPhones to their Androids? They really haven't improved on the old 'If you don't have an iPhone' ads.

iPhones truly do have overall better quality apps (as an owner of all 3 major platforms). Faster updates too.

I like these new ads, they point out the flaws in the competition with overall lower quality apps; but honestly it's not a powerful rhetorical argument for someone to choose an iPhone over the competition.

I'm not feeling this ad. I suppose it's supposed to be a subtle dig at Android but if Apple wants to advertise that iOS has better apps then start an "only on iPhone/iPad" campaign and highlight those apps that are iOS only or are vastly superior on iOS.

You can clone the iPhone (*cough Xiaomi, Samsung cough*) but it still won't be an iPhone.
is there anyone... outside of the truly delusional and Apple lawyers, still believes anyone is copying Apple nowaday?

Let's be honest, Apple has been playing catch up in years now.

So it's "an" app store now. Guess they're finally genericized their own trademark, turn service mark.

Android has most of the apps people want. However, iOS still gets apps first despite Android having the largest market share.

I would say that is true, but just today messing around with my new iPT 6th Gen I've found this baby to be buttery smooth in comparison to my Galaxy Note 4 which often lags and the camera is so slow my gosh. I keep it optimized and yet I still don't find the user experience to be nearly that of even this iPT much less an iPhone. Also bluetooth works beautiful and has connected to everything I've thrown at it. Okay so my Note 4 does too except for this one little nagging thing called "skipping" while playing music. Anyway... I agree most of the decent apps are now on Android, but sometimes the user experience isn't the same and that is the difference.

Some animations looked pretty stuttery, or is that just me? I don’t think Apple really got the point across this time. Even Android devices now get most of the great and modern apps that everyone is interested in and ‘over 1.5 million of the best apps available’ is sheer dishonesty; many of them are either corpses or simply bad (so much for ‘hand-picked awe-inspiring just plain surprising’).
I agree. It'd be interesting to see how many of the 1.5 million have been updated in the last year. Probably not many at all.

Clearly, the S6 drew inspiration from Apple in the S6, but it's what everyone does. Apple copied HTC with the iPhone 6's antenna design, Apple copied Windows Phone's multitasking layout, everyone does it.

The S6 has a lot of similarities to the iPhone 6 but it's definitely different enough and it has a lot that is unique to Samsung. The industry moves to what is attractive and people like, and that's what Samsung did.

It will come to Android though. The gap is definitely closing more and more. Personally, I don’t see the appeal of Fallout Shelter at all. It’s not even a good game among its kind, of which there are plenty in the App Store. Overrated game, to be honest. ;)

Actually it's a fun game. Love it on my iPad and iPhone 6 Plus. It was announced only once by the game developer so any other advertisement or hype about it is coming from people who actually played the game and enjoyed it. I don't see anything about it overrated. It made the game developer over $1.5 million in the first two weeks. Pretty damn great for a game that's free to download. I see a lot of Android users that want this game. Too bad they're not getting it anytime soon. ;)

And again Apple don't own the +/Plus on name.
