In my opinion, once you try the iPhone and realize the security, the fluidity of iOS and the performance, coupled with with Apple's ecosystem, its bliss moving forward.

Apple's ecosystem, which only works with Apple products when half the people I know use non Apple smart phones, I have found to be pretty pointless. iMessage especially. Which is big deal since messaging people is kind of an important tool.

Annoying is slighting different than none existent. Which of the adapters (dongles as they are called) have you tried? When the 7 first came out it was an issue because they didn't have them but now you can buy all kinds of two in one dongles even though they annoy you. So charging and music playback are possible.

In the past I had 'feature phones' (a Sony Ericsson, a Nokia and a Samsung) which had media player capabilities but didn't use the 3.5mm jack, this meant either using proprietary earphones (which were ****) or dongles and used up the only port on the phones (with exception to the Samsung (but still a proprietary connector)).

I also am aware of the adapters for the adapters, the first line of my response to you was about them.

I was once like you. Then I got a job where I have to use various Android devices throughout the day and I can tell you, Android is ugly and uninspired. It really makes you appreciate what goes into making iOS so seemless and subtle in its beauty.

I don't know about that. Just sounds like you do not like your friends aesthetics. Also, "seamless" if you can confine yourself to Apple's services... once out, it all starts to fall apart.

No, I'm specifically referring to the Android experience. Everything from the colour schemes to the animations to the aesthetic of the apps it attracts. Just doesn't compare to iOS.
That's purely opinion though, I for one quite like material design as it has much more emphasis on visual cues and animation.

TRUE! If only they made a inexpensive adapter... then I could just put the adapter on and I wouldn't have to keep complaining about it.. someday Apple, Some day..

It's a shame that the one they make is made cheaply so it stops working in one or another after a couple of months (I've gone through 3 of them already).

Oh and if you want to charge your phone and listen to music (because good luck getting the iPhone 7's battery to last the day), you're utterly screwed.

I love my iPhone 7 to bits, but my god, the removal of the headphone jack was the most stupid and anti-consumer move Apple has ever made on the iPhone and seriously makes me consider switching to an iPhone 6S Plus or something.

Life isn't easy on the iPhone when I tried to copy a video I want to watch on iPhone screen or upload to Instagram. I had to go though a few workarounds just to copy a video to camera roll.

Apple releasing/revamping this ''Switch'' site just a few weeks after the release of the new Samsung S8.

Coincidence??

I dont think so...

"Life is easier on iPhone'', not at all Apple. After 7 years using every new released iPhone I can tell you my life is much, much more easier (and a lot more productive) with my new S8 then every other iPhone from the past.

"Why is iPhone so fast'', no Apple. My new S8 is in some cases even faster/smoother then any of my previous iPhone 7 (or any of my earlier iPhones)

That 2nd video is pure nonsense

No, it's not.

Also, the S8 doesn't matter, it has been a flop so far…

The ads are nice, I've been using iPhone for many years and I would never go back to an Andriod device. My iPhone is much faster, secure and easier to use, battery life on my 7 Plus has been great. Looking forward to the iPhone 8 later this year :)

Samsung only has to air the Galaxy S8 commercial to shut Apple up. It's getting sad to be honest and after seeing these iPhone 8 leaks i'm not even sure I will switch back.

How are they shutting Apple up, exactly?

Contradictorily enough, over the past couple years, I've had an increasing desire to try out an Android phone. Not that I dislike my 7 Plus, it's just over the past 10 years, I now find iOS structured and boring.

Novelty-seeking is a hell of a drug

Who the hell would want to do that? Who still use those?

I do all the time. I have a Android tablet and I connect to USB devices a the time.

I also connect to USB stick for watching movies during flight time.

Like it or not, it is great to be able to connect with USB devices.

Your Apple blindness is sad.
I'll take structured and boring. I like my devices to be secure and work consistently. Wasting time endlessly troubleshooting things that stop working for no reason is far from my idea of fun; though granted, it's certainly not boring.

If that's the worst people can say about iOS, personally I think that says why it's the best.

It's time to stop acting like the software from companies like Samsung suck, because I switched from the iPhone 7 to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and haven't noticed any problems at all.

Your Apple blindness is sad.
Your Android bias is sad. I've been using both iPhone and Android since they were a thing. Been jailbreaking and rooting both since they were risky things to do. I've upgraded Android phones to unsupported OS's until the phones died. I've gone back and forth between them over the years. I like different things about them, but ultimately I keep coming back to Apple. That's a preference. I'm certainly not blind, but your comment was silly.

I'm glad you had a great experience making the switch. Some people do fine, others not so much. That's why there's options.

I switched from an iPhone to Google Pixel and can say my life has not gotten any more difficult. In fact, I have no desire to ever switch back to an iPhone.
The Pixel is a great phone ... the manufacturing delay ... not so much. They really did not meet demand on any appreciable level. My buddy ordered his on Black Friday last year and just finally got his in the mail. :/ I hope they step it up a notch with the Pixel 2.

This is a good addition to their site. Perhaps they should do some iOS vs. Android ads in the old Mac vs. PC style, though that pejorative-yet-humorous style was more Jobs's personality than Cook's.

Except for the fact that the adapter reduces sound quality as compared to the old jack.

Sorry Apple, I'm definitely not coming back. The last few months with a Pixel XL have been great. The best part is not having to install iTunes cancer on my PC and being able to copy media from any PC I wish has been liberating.

Apple today debuted an overhauled webpage aimed at encouraging Android users to switch to the iPhone, introducing a simpler FAQ-style site that highlights iPhone features and makes it clear how simple it is to switch from an Android device to an iPhone.

Apple previously had a webpage dedicated to customers coming to an iPhone from Android devices, but it featured less information on the iPhone itself and focused primarily on the Move to iOS app, a dedicated app that helps Android users transfer contacts, message history, photos, mail accounts, calendars, and more.

The new site, while featuring a section on Move to iOS, also attempts to lure Android users with details on the iPhone's camera and its processor, along with information on Apple Pay, Apple's privacy policy, the Messages app, Apple's commitment to the environment, and Apple Support.

The site, which features clever animations and a simple design that's quick to scroll through, ends with an iPhone comparison chart and direct links to purchase iPhones from Apple's current lineup, including the iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, and iPhone SE.

Apple continues to see a growing number of customers who are switching to the iPhone from an Android device, which Apple CEO Tim Cook covers in nearly every earnings call. During the second quarter earnings call in early May, Cook had this to say: "We saw the largest absolute number of switchers outside of Greater China that we've ever seen in the same period."

Update: To go along with the new site, Apple has uploaded a series of 16 second videos on its YouTube channel. Each video (there are five in total) highlights how easy it is to switch from Android to iPhone with the Move to iOS app or points out iPhone features like speed and privacy.

Hope all android users soon realize that all android phones are not safe and the worst secured devices that are extremely hackable and vulnerable due to open system developments by anybody including hackers. Ask cyber security experts. The more androids usage, the more unsecured in cyber. Cheap price of android is not worth getting hacked.

iPhone is the best secured and safest phone in the world due to proprietary and protected system and application development. Only cyber security oriented people will pick iPhone. Thanks and kudos to Apple!!

Stay away from the most unsecured, hackable and unsafest androids for safe cyber security!!
