Not sure, but maybe Apple had to use the security personnel for that building. Maybe they aren't Apple goons. You're assuming what was said, your assuming who they were, you're assuming what the situation was.

Well, the thing is, if you open your eyes, you can see! I live in the epicentre of the homeless problem in SF. Many homeless are mentally ill, and it's pretty easy to spot them - because they behave like people who are mentally ill. I saw the homeless guy setting sitting on the sidewalk and the security guards handle him aggressively and the cop coming around the corner and breaking things up. I'm not sure what you think I assumed, I'm only reporting what I saw.

It doesn't matter who the "goons" were hired by. Apple's instructions were obviously that they didn't want their event sullied by such people near their venue, even on public footpaths or streets.

I understand that people don't care about the homeless, and that they're an eyesore, they smell and cause problems.

People just want to have their latest toys becuase they can afford them. If some homeless person suffers, well, that's just a fact of life, right?
