Interpretation: We didn't get enough demand considering we bought a competing product called Beats that just released a similar item.
Of course, it'll still cost $159 and you'll still get 5 hours of battery use.
I hope they are improving the design.Hope they're improving sound quality!
That feeble excuse wears incredibly thin though when you consider the size and wealth of Apple and the fact that they would have known at the very least 12-18months in advance that the iPhone7 was going to drop the headphone socket.Disappointed because I really need them to replace my current headphone, but I understand it's better to wait than to get a faulty product (Samsung). Hopefully it'll be a couple of weeks and not a couple of months.
Actually, I think they are delaying the AirPods release to help prop up the new W1 Beats product line and to ensure that more AirPods are available upon release.
Can't say I am surprised. All though I wonder what they could be changing. Everyone who was given the AirPods along with the review unit iPhone 7's seemed to be very impressed by them.

Mean while in Apple offices
"Damn it, did you see that Microsoft event! update the Macs NOW!!! screw the Ear pods".
I tease, it will be interesting to see what the adoption rate of these will be; whether they will gain better traction than the initial Apple watch launch. I found it odd they did not release these under beats (I thought that was going to be their default for headphone items).
You can use Morse code to interact with Siri to control the volume.Could they be implementing volume controls via taps?
