The article should say "Airpod's no longer happening". After less than optimistic reactions apple "pulls the plug" on it's earbud concept. Apple dose not plan to continue work on wireless audio.

At least I haven't paid for them yet. I got in on Kanoa's debacle last year... fortunately got out of that one with my money.

So Apple release the iPhone 7 plus with 2 major features/changes. Two camera's but you cant benefit for over a month, then its STILL in beta. Removal of the headphone jack.......(Apple)"But we have a solution....but you can't use our solution for a few months"

Apple your really dropping the ball lately. So disappointed. I was weighing up the competition, after I have got over the ugly look of these things, now with this news, they look ugly again and the downside of the competition is my weighing points.

Those Dash might get a lot of people reconsidering now.
Dude, it's probably a month's delay. Nothing major. They've been delayed, not cancelled. What's one month in your life?

Man Apple is really getting bad..... iCloud emails not pushing, Mac refresh so-so, and now no AirPods. Sad.

Its strange that Apple leave it until the last moment to announce a delay. Either they were trying to fix an issue with a work around or have found an issue. If its hardware then that means that they have no stock of an issue free product so meeting demand for xmas will be impossible.
well the powet beats 2 aren't deliverable until the 14th - so if they take an extra two weeks it looks like thanksgiving delivery...

Can't say I am surprised. All though I wonder what they could be changing. Everyone who was given the AirPods along with the review unit iPhone 7's seemed to be very impressed by them.
They may not be changing anything but more of a supply issue. Who knows.

Despite the paid for positive reviews, those same reviewers have probably mentioned a ton of bugs.

Which is no surprise. BT headphones are crap.

That's your opinion. Stick with wires of that's your thing. Wireless is the future. As fir the paid reviews, of course. Anything you don't like that get positive reviews......hmmn, most be just paid one. We get it.

Here's hoping they do final improvements to the battery life and sound.

Cue thousands of iPhone 7 owning kids playing 'music' out loud on public transport for the next however many weeks. Eugh.

Thanks, Apple.

Disappointing news. Not sure what's going on with Apple lately but their product launches just seemed so disorganised. Ensuring the release of the AirPods alongside their first phone without a headphone jack would've been a no brainer one would think.

Since the last announcement, there are 3 things I wanted:
  • iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black - Still no stock from my carrier...
  • Apple Watch (Nike+) - Late October...still waiting (tomorrow hopefully)
  • AirPods - who knows when...
I'm willing to wait, but makes me wonder if this had cost Apple quite a few sales with the general public who end up buying something else.

Once again, such overpaid execs and such piss-poor performance. About time they quit en masse to let younger, more competent individuals take over. American execs always get so OTT agressive over underperformance, except when it applies to themselves.

"The response [to these stupid headphones] is incredible"

"...the incredible response to the iPhone 7"

This applespeak is getting nauseating.

And possibly no iMac refresh. For the first time in my life I am considering a Microsoft computer.

Little known fact - they were blowing people's ear drums. They would get hot - and just go "boom"
/Note7Sarcasm

Some people might not understand how much effort it takes to launch a product. But this is truly ridiculous. Apple has so much resources why on earth is this product running late? It should've been available at the introduction
