“Coming year” is doing a lot of work in this news release.
Maybe Apple should get rid of Federighi and bring back Forstall while they're at it.They did bring in Kim Vorrath back in January to clean up Siri.
Vorrath has worked at Apple for decades and was directly under Scott Forstall during the development of the original versions of iOS.
So all of these delays have absolutely caused some personnel shake up.
Edit: as pointed out later in this thread, my statement below is not completely correct, please disregard.Watch out for Alexa+ [beating apple]
This makes me want to rage lolMe:“Siri, how many steps have I taken today?”
Siri: “ you will have to unlock your phone first.
It just works.
For all of Apple's "innovation", they have consistently underwhelmed under Tim Cook.
Siri was a disaster from the start and never got much better. They probably would have been better off purchasing ChatGPT instead of trying to develop something in house. I have always wondered why their software department is so bad.
What gives you the confidence it happens that way & not what you say, only late? This is the sensible thing to. Much better than releasing a half baked product full of bugs.
They didn’t actually preview these features. They just showed pre-rendered clips, polished to perfection. Another consequence of these pre-recorded Apple events, no more wonky live demos on stage.I don’t understand how a company with so much money and resources, and brought Siri to the masses over a decade ago could fall so behind on this. And didn’t it preview all these features in summer? What went wrong?
It’s class action time!
every single interaction is worse than the previous and overall experience can't get any worse.
