Liberals do sometimes hold conflicting views but then so do conservatives and ANY political or non political view point. So unless YOU are not human YOU are as bad as the liberals you seem to hate on here!

I laugh when wingnuts start accusing liberals of having conflicting views. Let’s get real. The dog eat dog capitalism and disdain so-called conservatives have for public assistance is at direct odds with their self professed Christianity. They recoil at the word socialism yet claim to worship the greatest socialist the world has ever known. I don’t believe in magical wizards in the sky, but I’d love nothing more than seeing Christ return and watch him throw the likes of Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell and all the other fake unChristian hypocrites out onto the mall in front of the Capitol. When it comes to conflicting views, right wing Christians take the cake! I’d go so far as to say they’re beyond conflicted and are just outright naked hypocrites.

Ma

maybe you could wait for more details to emerge before jumping to a conclusion like this? If it’s true, apple is in serious trouble. But it would be very uncharacteristic for them to deny things so strongly if it were true. I don’t think Apple lie about this stuff; they may obfuscate and spin, but their statement seems very clearly worded to me.

The thing is, how will we ever know? If this is true, the servers have long been replaced. I would expect them to strongly deny anything that suggests their security isn’t up to snuff. Security and trust are cornerstones of their brand these days. They absolutely cannot risk anything that undermines that public perception. We’ll never know the truth about this story.

Why do you take my criticism of apple and a ceo so personally? Why is that your first reaction? Am I going after a local mums and pops shop?

Liberals who defend trillion dollar valuation tech companies like they’re a precious startup, to no end disgust me. Even when they tow the line with China

“What’s wrong with China now?!?!” Baseless russiagate screechers now try to argue. Pathetic! Absolutely pathetic!
"Friggin' lib-tard cucks! with their pussyhats. LIEbrary? No, TRUTHBRARY!"

This has nothing to do with defending Apple, you just sound like you've had too much coffee but have very little critical thought or coherent sentences. You sound like a real life version of one of Sacha Cohens characters on 'Who is America'.

I wasn't really saying the government is telling Apple what to say. But Apple and other companies of course are going to respond to the news... They want to say something... The only thing the gag order allows them to do is deny its happening..

Apple invests billions to protect their brand... They don't want consumers to think they are slaves to the US intelligence services.. They want to look like a rebel.. I bet that's the only concession Apple got with the FISA courts.. Maybe the only right Apple got from the FISA courts... Its to be allowed to deny it and look like a rebel against the government. For the sake of PR.
In reality Apple is in the intelligence game. Why not? Government will use their products as tools in exchange for consumer security from the NSA. NSA protects Apple products but gets a backdoor of its own in the process...
Apple gets hug government contracts to sell iPhones to the Whitehouse... Killed off blackberry didn't they?

Not fear mongering... Just know something is stinky about the whole hidden intelligence / FISA world..

NSA has good sources of info in the 21st century... I would hope so. Or else I want my tax money back.
Why would I want to fund something at the NSA that doesn't work... right?

If they lie then they are possibly making a material misstatement to investors, and the SEC will have them for lunch.

Knowing China's tendency to hack and spit I am sure that Apple would have inspected the hardware as a matter of common sense. Software checking only find so much.

If that is how you think then stop posting on here. if you do not like it then go elsewhere. Either put up or shut up as I used to get told.

I don’t understand what you are saying

I am unsarcastically giving this website credit for not letting leftist mind control mobs dictate their policies and they refuse to implement PC censorship

...I’m not convinced you even have basic reading comprehension given your response to the thing you just quoted

That’s great that show sucks ! It’s terrible

His other characters were far better. Ali g Bruno and borat

Sacha Cohen is a hack like all of Hollywood now

... Russia is as bad as everyone else when it comes to hacking.

Russia has always been a bigger threat to the "West" than China has ever been, and will continue to be for a while. Anthropologically, the Europeans blend into the Eurocentric culture better (duh!), and, until 50%+ Hollywood movies are like Crazy Rich Asians, that culture will not change.

Factually, the Russians were able to destabilize the USA much more than the Chinese have been able to do since WWII. To date, the Russians' hacking has been more damaging than the China has managed - maybe, can ever.

Apple should have stuck to Mac Mini arrays for their servers.
Perhaps they could switch to a new model Mini for the purpose now?

it's stuff like this that is going cause China to loose out on big time. Apple quietly moved crucial components for the iPhone to the US like the glass for example is not move in Kentucky among other components. The Cheese were manufacturing counterfeit iPhone and Apple found out about it. Now Apple Mac Pro's have been made in Texas for the 5 years. Apple has even quietly fired a number of employees after several suspicious trip back to China.

I bought one of those counterfeit cheese iPhones. It was pretty gouda.

This is why the Russia, Russia, Russia is so disingenuous - everyone is hacking everything they can. We (the West) are hacking shedloads too. Why does this surprise anyone. Oh, sorry, was unable to trigger internet outrage machine with the word Trump...

4 years ago I heard how all hacking was being attributed to China / NK, but now the hour of hate is targeted at Russia - who will it be next? 1984 is real...
There’a nothing disgenious about it. Just because you voted for a compromised president doesn’t mean that hacking is no longer important. What are you even talking about? The only thing “1984” is that you apparently think we’re not allowed to talk about Russia infiltrating our election systems, because they helped the guy you voted for. Hacking from both Russia and China is important, and they are our biggest adversaries. The only thing disingenuous here is your mental gymnastics, and how you put your partisan politics over the defense of our country. You should be ashamed.

Plausible. I don’t believe for a second the meltdown and Spectre flaws were unknown to intelligence agencies around the world.

Crucial components like the glass? LOL.

Apple announced last year they were spending $500M on 4 R&D centers in China.

It totally does

Fake news is fake news. Except not here

Russia is a real threat. China isn’t. Not here. Because it’s apple yay.

You guys have no platform to stand on, after all your hysteria— but please, keep quoting me and keep screeching. That’ll surely work if you do it enough.

RESIST! RESIST logic too! Logic is fascist!
Both Russia and China are threats. The difference is radical ideologue alt-righters like yourself refuse to be outraged over Russia’s cyber intrusions because they helped your guy (talk about crooked) while most normal people as well liberals acknowledge that both are major threats to the future of America. Senate minority leader Schumer is very vocal about not only Russia, but China’s crimes as well.

I think you calling me alt right is hilarious. That’s brainwashing that has found its way right into your brain. You can’t be reasoned with. Am I a fascist mysognist racist nazi too bc I don’t agree with you? So predictable. Painfully so

... and If that helps you cope so be it. I’ve been asked point blank and I would not call myself a conservative. But if I were to be mistaken as liberal - I would find that slightly offensive haha!

This is NOT surprising. Just look at the african nations with "free" telecom equipment from china. There is nothing for free. African nations are spied on and what are they going to do? Get rid of all the telecom equipment from china?

https://goo.gl/TZdheJ

In fact if you manufacturer your telecom/iot device in china, there is absolutely zero guarantees they will not plant hardware backdoors during production. You will have to have insiders doing this and $ comes first to chinese. They will sell their kids for $ zero questions asked.

Apple will not disclose this and quietly sweep under the rug. Why would a giant trillion dollar iPhone company in the world disclose they have been hacked in the past? That trust will go out the door faster than the "courage" needed to admit fault!

In fact this isn't apple alone - probably 1000's of made in china products that contain electronics that connect to the internet are implanted and you wouldn't have a clue about it.

China = most corrupt country in the world.

Yet it’s our own domestic problems we’ve refused to address for decades that gave us Trump. The Russians didn’t elect Trump, the EC did.

Let’s fix our “democracy” before resorting to a world war to deflect from our own failings.

Yet every Silicon Valley company (whom are also US defense contractors) is racing to “provide” internet access to Africa. Seeing as literally all network activity is scooped up in Iraq and Afghanistan (we built the infrastructure there) what in the world makes you believe our actions in Africa don’t at least mirror those of China?

At least China is building bridges, we’re building military drone bases and running spec ops all over the continent.

America rejected Hillary Clinton. Had nothing to do with Russia
America rejected Trump, given that he lost by several million votes, and the ongoing investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election to aid Republicans (which is a fact that has been confirmed by all of our intelligence agencies) has already resulted in dozens of convictions and over 10 (?) guilty pleas. Trump’s campaign manager was already given prison time and is now cooperating with federal prosecutors in regards the rest of his charges, which include Conspiracy against the United States.

They’re really approaching this like a mob case. Nail the smaller guys first, get them to flip, and then use them to take out the bigger criminals. Even if Trump isn’t directly guilty it’s quite clear several high ranking people in his campaign, which his consent, authorized talks with Russian agents in regards to trading favors and lifting sanctions and tearing up NATO in exchange for getting dirt on then candidate Hillary Clinton. Putin, the dirty authoritarian criminal he is, is the only person in the world Trump refuses to criticize. I wonder why.
