FaceID needs a wider angle recognition process... not sure if this is possible, but I feel like I have to be looking at my phone within a certain range for it to recognize my face. I'm not an angle expert, but I don't want to have to sit up strait at my desk just so my phone can unlock

NO!!!

I just bought a 10.5" iPad Pro, and I love Face ID. I've been thinking lately how much I wished my iPad had Face ID and no home button. Pressing that home button is so out dated. 🙂

How much for that iPad?
There is nothing driving the iPad to reduce bezel size.
On a phone the trend was to reduce bezels for hand feel.
The cost of FaceID is many times that of TouchID and unless there is something driving getting rid of the button, I don't see it happening in the near future. They can barely make enough parts for the X.

I'm all for this, but it poses an interesting question of how you go home with no home button. Can't use the swipe up gesture like the X since that invokes dock/app switcher, and the 4 finger pinch seems too undiscoverable for such an important function.

I’m a 10.5” Pro owner. I’m so impressed with it that I cannot see me upgrading again before the iPad adopts OLED.

But never say never. If Apple makes something awesome, and I can afford it, I buy it.

Suck it, haters. Enjoy boasting about how poor you are 😉

Why would anyone buy an iPad anymore - so lame

iPads are still very useful. Large screen to look at news and other goodies while your phone charges and is ready to go when you need to leave. Larger battery and you can take calls as well.

The question really should be why are you not using your iPad more?

And then make it even more expensive than the current gen. No thanks. I am good with my 12.9" iPP 2nd gen which will probably be the very last iPad I buy.
