This is sad. My iPod Classic is on its way out. I was looking at a Nano just this weekend. They don't make them large enough for my use case.

Having just upgraded my 60GB iPod Video to a 256GB SD I really wish Apple would release a new iPod with click wheel.

Super thin, Flash Storage, Small Screen, Click Wheel, Bluetooth and Lightning Connector.

Make it see through and call it the iPod Glass.

You wouldn't happen to have a link for doing this by chance would you?

Am I the only one surprised to read that they still sold the shuffle and nano until now? They just hadn't crossed my mind.

This is a historic occasion. I hope the iPod Touch stays around and gets refreshed.

The nano makes sense, but I'm kinda surprised by the shuffle, which I hunk still has a place for many people. The next closest replacement for the shuffle is the Apple Watch, which is still too expensive, despite all the other things it can do.

But why keep the Touch? The SE is poised to drop in price with the next update, and provide an entry-level phone that offers an optional cellular connection -- cuts Apple's overhead in maintaining yet another product and reduces the overall cost of the SE by lowering the component price with increased volume making a price reduction more likely.

I didn't understand why the shuffle or the nano couldn't have apple music but they could have spotify.
Apple really did't support them the last 2 years so not too surprising. RIP

I wish they had kept the last clickwheel Nano with the camera instead of making an iPod Touch Mini.
Shame Apple's product line is being trimmed down to practically nothing. Times were exciting when they had all kinds of quirky little things targeted towards different audiences.

The iPhone (and iPad to a lesser extent) is really the only product they truly care about because it drives the profits. I predict the next products to be discontinued is the AirPort line.

Sure thing ;

I got the iFlash Quad so I can go up to 768GB at some point but just have 1 Sandisk 128GB SD for now.
I also put a new battery in and needed a flex hd cable as it was broken.

iFlash Quad £30
128GB SSD £39
Battery £8
Flex Cable £4

Not surprised.

I noticed way back that the Nano and Suffle were always meant to be replaced by the Apple Watch:

EDIT: I find these designs more "manly" than the "girlie" Apple Watch. I wish Apple would offer an option similar to these for those of us who prefer such a style.

I wanted to get my kids 7 and 9 each a Nano. Oh well. I don't think that age is good for the Touch and they are too young for phones.

The shuffle is great for workouts. I use it every day.

Apple Watch even replaces the shuffle for that use case, though. Sure, shuffle was way cheaper than an Apple Watch, but no one was buying them. I haven't seen a shuffle in the wild in at least half a decade.
