Apple Discontinuing Space Gray Mac Accessories Now That iMac Pro is Dead

Glad I have these and decided to just use a beautiful monitor with the M1 Mac Mini... I worry too that we're moving to more colors with white bezels... I think those will be great for kids and education settings but not so much for pros. Hoping I'm wrong and the M2 iMacs are back in a variety of styles / ranges.

Hopefully I got my interpretation right that you said pros are better suited with black. If that's so, then I'm really curious as to why you think that pros could only settle with monochromatic colors and not colorful ones?

Ugg, that probably means no space grey pro desktops with black bezels in the future? I prefer space grey over silver. I don't want a party decoration as my work machine....

so there will be a whole set of fancy colored keyboards and mice but no space grey option? I don't get it...

It very well could mean two things:

1) Apple is updating their “space grey” color so these would not match

or

2) Apple is adding Touch ID to the new space grey keyboard

I absolutely love my Space Gray mouse and keyboard that I have as part of my home setup, and I wanted to buy a pair for my office setup as well, but I'm going to hold off hoping that revamped models with touch ID are around the corner!

I can understand your logic re the keyboard but why axe the mouse and trackpad as well? They won’t be affected by the new Touch ID keyboards.

I love my space gray keyboard and trackpad. I hope they'll be back but with newer features like Touch ID and with the same form factors of the new iMac accessories.

I just bought them for the dark Lightning cables and threw away the accessories.

I spent a lot of time & effort switching everything on my desk over to black, because I find it less distracting.

Seems Apple’s out to put a stop to this.
