Apple Discontinuing Space Gray Mac Accessories Now That iMac Pro is Dead

Apple sure is on a roll discontinuing things. I’m glad I was able to get these and 2 HomePods. I swear, if you’re not rich you’ll never keep up.
Purchased all three accessories as soon as they discontinued the iMac Pro. Guess I guessed correctly!

I've been using the silver/white keyboard and mouse and trackpad since forever, so I'm more than good.
And I actually prefer the silver/white combo.
THe only thing I don't get is why the new keyboards aren't backlit. I guess Apple users don't work at night.

Okay, so I'm a sucker and just picked up a whole matching set while it was still an option. This about guarantees they will now come out with a version with the built-in touch ID.

I want to be optimistic here : to me, that means that when the next 27"+ iMac is released, it'll come with newly designed space gray accessories.

- TouchID on keyboard, that's a given
- Magic Mouse new design? Yup, could definitely be more ergonomic
- Magic Trackpad new design? Not sure what, Apple Pencil support maybe?
Had no idea that iMac Pro was alive. It had always looked like an inanimate object to me.

Well, since none of the new iMacs are Space Gray, it makes perfect sense why there would be no Space Gray Magic Keyboard and/or Magic Mouse to go with them.
I don't want to say anything against the magic mouse that would be too catty of me 🍸🙀but I hope we get a whole new re-thinking of the hand held input device. 🍸😸

I believe there will be all-new keyboards, mouse pointers and even touch pads for the successor to the iMac Pro. They will be in a lighter shade of Space Gray than currently, since the new iMac Pro will also be using that lighter Space Gray color. The new "cube" Mac Pro box may also come in this color, too.
I can’t delete my post and it didn’t add to the thread so I did what I could to remove it. Shouldn’t have posted it in the first place but it was too late; my finger had already pressed the “Post reply” button.
I love the Space Gray Magic Trackpad; I'm frugal, but this has been worth the extra money for the pleasure it gives me to see and use it every day.
My current prediction is that the iPhone event is in September, and the "Pro" Apple Silicon Mac event is in October. I'd expect a new generation of a wireless mice, trackpads and keyboards with larger, darker-looking, and more performant iMacs – or possibly they'll just call whatever replaces the 27" Intel iMac, the new "iMac Pro."

Not sure about using the word “dead” to describe a product no longer for sale during a pandemic where many have suffered the loss of loved ones.
