jobs must be screaming at everyone in cupertino by now. i think this is the biggest product leak to happen so far. beyond the Nano 4G.

Does this mean the airport card is going behind the display?

possibly reinforcing the rumor of a 2 tone plastic lided macbook, better wireless reception with a plastic lid?

I don't think it confirms or disproves anything. The Wireless has been in the lid of powerbooks/mbps for at least 4 years now.

Do y ou guys remember the earlier leaked case pictures, where a lid was shown.
Well there we could see that behind the apple logo there were 2 or 3 holes, perhaps they are for the antennas to get better reception trough the plastic apple logo...

...I get the feeling that either Apple is sloppy or Apple is purposely doing this to cover up something bigger.

Classic magician maneuver..."Hey everyone, look over here at the shiny new MacBook Awesomes..."

All the while a "one more thing" waiting in the other hand.

It's possible.

Could this be called the "Most Leaked" Apple event in history?

Anyways... AWESOME!

Not quite, we have pics of actual assembled Nano's before the event last month, while we do have cases images for these macbooks we havent seen one assembled ready for use yet! or any specs at all, the nanos we knew 8 and 16 from the image leeks too. but hey there are still two days before the event. We still an all likelihood may see one, which i can't wait for!

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

Finally some hard evidence. We will know for sure on Tuesday.

An airport card in the monitor. I wonder if the airport card is now thinner or sized down. Can't wait to see what Apple engineers. This is more interesting than the crappy MacBook shells, which aren't anything especially unique or progressive.

Very strange for them to release a support document without releasing the actual computers though

Not really, probably just a genuine mistake.

The MacBook Air probably has very different internals, whereas from this document we can guess that the new MacBooks and MacBook Pros will share at least some similar internals.

It's probably just me being paranoid, but I feel like apple is letting all these leaks go too easily. Either, A. we're being mislead, or B. They have something HUGE up their sleeves that they're not letting anyone hear anything about. Tuesday will be interesting for sure.

I think Apple have stopped caring about product leaks.

I think there is a point where "leaks" become more of a financial burden to cover, than let leak. Being anal comes with stress and diminishing returns.

The point of withholding information isn't to keep consumers ignorant until the products are unveiled, it is to keep key ideas from being developed by others before you can get out your own product and let it leap to prominence as the only niche within an open market.

Notebooks are NOT new, or key niche, in ANY WAY. So naturally it won't be any desperate secret.

If Jobs and Apple have something unique and truly revolutionary like the iPhone again, they'll lock that crap down until they are ready to show it off and get consumers revved up.

Fail. Wow, Apple, you're really falling down on the job these days, lol. Not that I particularly mind! It's not like their press shots were leaked, though, so there's still that final frontier. And we also haven't seen the lid and screen of the new MacBooks (unless you count those older apple.pro photos as them, and even then they weren't full).

Other than the notebooks, we might see the "$800 notebook" and/or the tablet. I'd say the most likely software is iLife '09 and iWork '09 (still unlikely though).

Maybe because it's plastic?

I soooooooo.... want to be pseudo disappointed at the announcement and then have this monumentally historic "one more thing".... in 49:55. Yay, I'm gonna go make a dashboard counter for this now.

It would be great to see an $800 multi-touch tablet. Just 11" screen, nothing more needed, and just basic computing for portable data collecting and creating. Somehow I doubt they will get it going this year, having expected it for the past 18 months.

I also doubt new iLife and iWork. The past versions are still really, really good and don't need updates. But, who knows--Apple might have create great, new functions.

no 1 line of macbooks

so i guess there is a high chance that there will still be 2 lines of macbooks? not the rumoured 'product merge'..

This is what the current pro has. Nothing new. The best part for me is that this means the laptop lines will be kept separate, not merged into just the MacBook line.

Edit: sorry - someone just beat me in posting this.

I think Apple has begun to realize that the only people who even CARE about product info "leaks" are the absolute obsessed who are counting the days until they can shell out money for whatever is next.

Joe Notebook with his pretty white MacBook that he bought a year ago is not even remotely interested in buying something new right now. The combination of Leopard and the stability/speed/reliability of the last gen MacBooks puts anyone with 2 year or younger macbook in the category of NOT buying.

My father in law is great example of Joe Notebook; he loves his MacBook, but its less than 2 years old and to him, that's still NEW. He won't even buy an LCD tv because he believes they are "only a 5 year tv".

The only folks who will be buying the new macbooks are NEW Apple owners, of course us, el geek squad, and also professionals who are due for upgrades and can afford them at this time.

All in all I cannot see "leaks" being anything but free advertising to the few who will even hear about it, especially so close to release.
