Rise of social media and downfall of the society.
Agree to disagree. Fix the process if that's the case.Last I checked you can’t build products working from home. 🙄
I don't see how this post can even make sense. A tech solution doesn't necessarily translates into a good business solution.Tech workers want tech solution for work and the tech company says no? Sounds like a contradiction with Apple Inc loosing credit in all possible directions.
You do realize pretty much all Apple products are built in China...by Foxconn...from mostly Samsung partsLast I checked you can’t build products working from home. 🙄
So you want a super-secret hardware design lab in each home?Agree to disagree. Fix the process if that's the case.
Obviously this doesn't apply for hardware, same as you can't run a retail store in your own home.So you want a super-secret hardware design lab in each home?
No one is forced to work at Apple. Don't like it, leave. All these complaints are just so stupid. Thousands of people would like to work at Apple almost for free. Throw them in jail for breaking their NDAs.
What happened to good old fashioned company loyalty? Especially for something as great as Apple.
exactly.Obviously this doesn't apply for hardware, same as you can't run a retail store in your own home.
Yes, I would agree to that. I'd also highly doubt HW Engineers would want a lab in their own home. So ofc there's different needs for different roles.exactly.
So, is it fair to say that there is no one-size-fits-all best choice and that it's highly depended on role, business, secrecy level, industry, etc?
Some can work from home others cannot. Surprise! Seems to be that you have difficulties with modern life or do you need the pressure of others to get work done? There are some of these. Perhaps you need an audience to feel good and get energy (extrovert). We introverts have had a great time working from home.Um... I will not work for a company that is fully remote or promote a hybrid work environment. I want everyone in the office because it's far more efficient, more collaborative, more innovative, and honestly, get more stuff done.
Working remote sucks. It's unfair when a few members are working from home all the time while everyone else is not and have to factor in the extra hassle of communicating with WFH people.
Your post reply has nothing to do with anything I said or the post I was responding to. 🙄You do realize pretty much all Apple products are built in China...by Foxconn...from mostly Samsung parts
Apple just designs the stuff and orders the parts.
Perfect. So half of the comments on here about "Apple is awful" or "Employees are awful" are so devoid of the actual context that they are irrelevant as they're written. There are many business decisions that need to be made, on both sides of the equation. A janitor and a hardware lab engineer can't work from home exactly as an accountant probably can work from home at least the majority of the time. (side note: working from home will probably cause loss of jobs in corporate janitors, maintenance workers, and cafeteria cooks/service workers).Yes, I would agree to that. I'd also highly doubt HW Engineers would want a lab in their own home. So ofc there's different needs for different roles.
Usually is the opposite: "emotional attack". Whining and taking position without knowing facts. The real story is I see lots of emotional defense post comments of the company independent of the issue, reliably, that's what I'm predicating my observation on.
The real world would like a word with you. I guess in fantasy land, the things you need just pop up out of nowhere.I'm sorry to hear you've been forced to work through the pandemic. That's not right, and you deserve better. Elevate your opportunities, don't tear others' down.
I've seen you comment on multiple threads about this. You have a chip on your shoulder about technology workers being 100% virtual employees, and it's very obvious. Almost like you're jealous. Go get the skills that let you work from home if you're so peeved.
I'll never understand people who continue to work for a company they despise.
Perhaps that’s due to lack engineers working in the office building instead of being home in their slippers watching ESPN while checking into Apple every now and then. If they were at work they would be more productive working amongst a team getting the software right instead of sitting on their lazy butts at home.Apple does deserve criticism for the flaws they continue to ignore in their software.
What do you mean? The moment that Apple - or any company - forbids an employee to talk about salary and benefits, they break federal law.Hence why companies don't like remote work. Production can stay the same, or even improve. The issue is they lose control over the individual on what they can't talk about. Such as benefits, and pay.
