The bigger sensor on the pro might be the biggest announcement. The sensors on these cameras is way too small and one of the reasons these cameras suck in low light.

I never understand when a specific product is being presented and the ONLY product expected to be presented members here keep throwing the same, "Uh No Mention of Such and Such".

because this product was announced like a month ago and now the iPhone is gonna be available for preorder before the iPad? Something seems iffy

The irony that I'm feeling is that one of the major reasons I want to switch from my Android phone to an iPhone is gaining iMessage but it also happens to be the one thing holding me back because there's no web app to allow me to text from a Windows machine. I get all the reasons (end to end encryption and all of that) and I'm fine with the security implications that come with Android Messages. I just can't see myself changing and losing the ability to text on my work machine easily without having to be near my phone. And no, a Mac will never be my work machine in my line of work.

Let me know how that works out for you....

Of course money is part of it.

If you hadn't noticed, Apple's a pretty big public corporation with lots of shareholders - likely you and me and anyone with mutual funds in our retirement accounts.

Apple's not your friend. They don't care about you. They care about providing profits to their shareholders.

So yes, any move like this, even where there's an environmental benefit they can tout in their marketing and brand image, will have a cost-impact component to it.

This is basic business 101 stuff.
The fact that people defend the richest company in the world is astounding. Shareholders need profits? The charger and headphones will cost 100 bucks after the fact if you need them but they probably cost the company 20 bucks to produce.

Offering it to someone new to the ecosystem wouldn't exactly bankrupt the company to any stretch of the imagination. It likely wouldn't even be enough to notice financially.

Less for more lets all applause!

Just me or is this the least exciting iPhone launch ever? Absolutely no improvements that matter to anyone and a clear targeting to the lower-end market.
I thought it was a great launch and Apple did a great job in showcasing new tech. Plenty of improvements that matter to a lot of people, imo. And finally, Apple is covering broad base of demographics with the cost and tech.

On one hand, these pre-recorded events allow for a little less filler, awkwardness, and waits for applause, but I really hope they get back to normal live events next year. Smaller events with fewer products inevitably come off as underwhelming.

im disappointed. The mini should have been smaller. Like iPhone 5 size. But the design is good, except notch and no Touch ID.

Apple has left behind the 10 percent of population who are sensitive to PWM flicker. I can’t stand the flickr on OLED. Within 1 minute of using OLED phone, I get nausea.
It’s business. Always go with the higher percentage.

Haha!

This years biggest innovation is the natural friendly lack of headsets and power adapters. To turn the latter 2 billion devices worthless, they just changed the USB standard.

I am looking forward to buy one of these! Amazing how brain washed we all are!

I wish Steve was still there.
