Remember when Steve presented the iMac. He wanted everything in one box. The customer would take the computer out of the box, put the power plug into a socket and would be online in no time. He wanted perfect user experience.

What does Tim do? He gives us an iPhone, which by the way costs more than the iMac once did, just with a charging cable, and when we unpack and use that phone on a Saturday, we will run out of power on Sunday and we will have a perfect user experience with no working charger in the household.

This is what happens, when you let a bean counter be CEO.

Someone wake me up for the iPhone 13 release next year.

Weird that the event that got me excited and rushing to preorder this year was the Apple Watch event. I bet the number of people eagerly awaiting their new iphones will not match the number of people anxious for their new watches.

Very happy to see that Apple is still charging Euro customers 15% more, even when you consider taxes and current exchange rates.

The fact that people defend the richest company in the world is astounding.

I simply stated basic facts about for-profit corporations and where their focus lies.

I'm unsure why you think that was "defending Apple" unless you posses a myopic binary mindset where everyone is either Anti-Apple or Pro-Apple.

Apple is a megacorp. Folks shouldn't get emotional about their interactions or expectations regarding a corporate entity. If a different product better meets one's needs and preferences, go buy that product instead.

“New feature that gives control of shooting in RAW with the power of our computational photography. Apple ProRAW. Coming in iPhone Camera app for iPhone 12 Pro later this year.”

Does this mean the stock Camera app will finally be able to shoot raw? While still for example making use of the optical image stabilizer? Previously, you could only shoot raw with third party apps and, then, the optical image stabilizer was, for some reason, NOT used.

Isn't your question literally answered in the quote you included?

I would disagree with you. My guess is that the iphone mini will sell like hotcakes. Also people looking for high end camera tech will definitely go for the pro. I am. Pro Max 6.7 for me.

The things I really didn't liked and being disappointed about:

1. the NOTCH is still there, even not a mm change.
2. iPhone 12 Mini costs 699$ instead of 649$ (damn 5G spoiled it)
3. 64GB base model option for 699$ is way too expensive.
4. HomePod Mini won't support (again) Spotify which is No No for me.
5. No braided charging cable for iPhone, still the old one. So much about saving the environment.

The only thing i liked from the event presentation is the Blue option on iPhone 12's and Pro models, that's it.

Nothin significant, skippable updates. True breakthrough will come up at least when the notch gone.

It could be gone today if those misguided designers would just acquiesce to filling out the top of the display with a full black bar instead of that stupid, pointless notch... which is now bigger than ever relative to the screen on the iPhone Mini.

Why are the TMobile, Sprint and Sim-free versions of the iPhone 12 $30 more expensive than the AT&T and Verizon models?!

In that case, I suppose that makes sense. However, you are:
1) a very unique user
2) are not upgrading from the latest iPhone

Not that unique. The iPhone before my 10X was a 6+. I suspect a lot of people upgrade every 2-3 years. And, a lot of people make photographs, as I do.

Why would anyone want to lose space that is used for the clock and a few operational icons?

Anyone notice that the Lightning cable that comes in the box has a USB-C charger plug?

Yes- that's right, you can't use the included cable with the USB wall adapter chargers that used to be included with iPhone- got to buy another USB-C power brick if you want to charge at a regular speed.

Last year, the most comment we see, “I am happy with my iphone XS“, this year, “I am happy with my iPhone 11“

For myself, I can’t wait for the 12 pro in my hand in less than a month!!
