I have been upgrading every year since the 12PM.
The 13PM brought the 120hz screen.

The 14PM brought the even better screen + dynamic island and the 48MP camera.

The 15PM brings the 5x optical zoom (although on their site it says that the 14PM also has 5x optic zoom, not sure why :)) ) and the USB-C.

Not worth the difference I have to pay, around 900€ if I sell my current 14PM

Well, there's **** and there's more than that. What the hell was that?

Apart from the fact all the presenters have been training on a rodeo horse - what did they actually launch?

The most appalling waste of time ever!

Steve Jobs would be climbing out of his grave if he could.

Appalling!
I thought it might be just me noticing all of their bow-legged bouncing!! Some serious body language lessons had clearly been dished out.

Despite the technological improvements in the A17 processor and the latest annual iPhone camera improvements, for the very first time I didn't bother to finish the presentation. For one, I do not subscribe to the climate change/carbon neutral "religion", so I am indifferent to Apple's goal of carbon neutrality. I will stick with leather, thank you, even if I have to buy it from a third party.

Also, I still wear a normal wristwatch (since I am only interested in using it to tell time), so I still have no interest in purchasing an Apple Watch for hundreds of dollars that needs to be charged daily. The only reason I may eventually purchase an Apple Watch in the future, would be if I ever need one for existing or future health maintenance benefits, which is something a watch cannot provide.

I own an iPhone 13 Mini, which is plenty fast enough and meets my needs and takes great pictures. I am shifting to a 4-5 year upgrade cycle, and I don't like big phones anyway. I hope to keep this phone for another 3 years before I consider replacing it. The bottom line is that iPhones are already a mature product and even phones from the last 2-3 years still provide superior performance for most people. I am not speaking for anybody else on this forum, only expressing my own opinion based on my own needs.

I appreciate the last line in your post, and am not picking on you specifically, but I wish this forum was more about the products themselves rather than an individual's biography and narcissistic tendencies.

I bought 14 pro because it was already time to change after 6 years with iPhone X. 14 pro turned out to be too heavy for my hand and I returned to X - where it is still super 3D Touch and the phone still works. I was waiting for a lighter body and 15 pro for me is great. It's a pity that apart from the case and USB c, nothing has changed. Although it's better than the changes?? that were a year ago between iPhone 13 and iPhone 14...

Oh man!!! Apple is getting oooooooold. All the people in the WWDC videos presenting Apple stuff are old - the only people that look young and healthy are in the videos and photos taken with the new devices. Did anyone but me notice this?

The same people present the same stuff with the same videos and the same wording. Uhuhuu - is this the end? Does the younger generation still want the iPhone or is the Samsung Fold/Google Pixel becoming more and more attractive?

Most of them are middle aged. With age does not necessarily come wisdom. But youth certainly doesn't have any either. You need adults in charge or you get something like Google's ADHD. We need more adults in charge and less of this "move fast and break things" mentality.

However they certainly are out of touch.

If I wasn’t so locked into the mac ecosystem, I’d drop the iPhone in a second and move to a Pixel 8.

Funny reading all the race-to-the-bottom comments.

It's like who can muster up the biggest eye-roll.

Year after year after year.
People are people. I'm ok letting most people vent. At least they're here and not out committing crimes or hurting themselves. It is what it is sometimes. I personally can't wait for Friday to order my new shiny for the first time in almost 5 years. ☮️💕 and 📱happiness.

Apples stranglehold on the youth goes as soon as RCS becomes implemented. Apple knows this which is why they will never do it unless forced.

The environmental/carbon reducing skit went on far too long and really killed the momentum of the presentation.

It felt.. forced.. and .. long.. and... smelled like BS.

Spending that long dislocating your shoulders to pat yourselves on the back about environmentalism, when most all of what you sell is made in the most polluting country on the planet? When nothing you make is upgradable? When most everything is.. difficult to repair?

And *bragging* about over-sea shipping? I'm sorry, but container ships pollute the sea... this isn't a well kept secret either... *ADDING* more pollution to the sea, and having the gall to lie and pretend that it's a GOOD THING???? Apple could cut shipping generated pollution a hell of a lot more by making things closer to where they're SOLD!!!! That would be something to brag about!

Who's dumbass idea was this clown show? Who thought that this would be a good look?

I have solar. I've spent years, in my youth especially, collecting every aluminum can and glass bottle.. I still dream of the home that can be a comfy 80f in the dead of winter, north beyond the wall, because it has a south-facing passive/active solar room that can heat the whole house..

This should be something that sounds good to me?

I'd seem to be the target audience..

But.. It sounds like pure, 100%, unadulterated, bull-butter.

At least for me, it had the opposite of the desired effect.
