I was posting on another apple chat site and majority of people were saying this was a strong showing from Apple and a worthy upgrade year. Come here to MacRumors and immediately see the same old hating and crying lol. If you have a 16 then yeah, this was probably underwhelming for you. But anyone not with last years phone should be pretty hyped with iPhone and watch upgrades.

Crazy part is most of you will be pre ordering Friday and then coming back next weekend with buyers remorse topics from folks who upgrade yearly SMH.

They did indeed drop the awe. No awe detected anywhere today.

Modem this
Wireless that
Aluminium, Vapor Chamber

This is stuff that nobody cares about lol. Once you strip the conference out of these technical details, you remain with a brick that doesn't do anything new. Just gimmicks, like last year's camera button. Was enthusiastic on that 8x zoom, then I realized it's digital lol
The Apple store info says it's 8x optical. What am I missing.

Edit: ok, it says optical-quality zoom.

So what's the use case to buy the Air instead of the Pro when the price difference is only $100? Just if you want a thin iPhone?

Yeap, they have NO excuse not to use the Steve Jobs theatre for their product launches ...
They did spend all that money on their very own private venue, so that they could have more control over the narrative... and then Covid had to come along and force everybody to rethink things, ultimately giving corporations an excuse to save money by never ever doing any product announcements in person. Because, ya know... the complete control over a pre-recorded release video is apparently worth more than all they spent on that theatre.

Credit where credit is due: at least they're not falling for the sunk cost fallacy... but it is nonetheless somewhat sad that Steve's namesake venue fell into disuse so quickly.

OH that is why apple support is sagging now.....
the new  something is being unveiled now.

mywatch repair ticket I am setting up just suddenly stopped.
hopefully they didn't charge my account now.

The S25 Edge already tells us the Air won't really sell.

Deleting the Plus helps Apple improve ASPs. Hardly anyone will want to pay $999 for a single rear lens. This is basically iPhone mini but in reverse.
