The studio seems like an incredible machine. Would’ve been interesting to see a new take on the cylinder design (since they have the tech now to make it work perfectly), instead of the “fat mini”-design they went with.

And the Studio Display, considering that the LG UltraFine 5K is $1300 for the display itself, sans the other features.
IMO the Studio Display was the main attraction, besides the Mac Studio. But, will it be able to maintain a 16" MacBook Pro with M1 Max continuously powered? It only outputs 96W through its USB-C Port.

Regarding the Mac Studio:
M1 Max version: $1999 barely sounds like a decent price (keep in mind it comes with no Display).
M1 Ultra version: $3999 is way too overpriced!

I figured minimum was $3k. IT's $3600. Not sure if you have to buy a separate (apple priced) stand or not for the monitor though.

Apple’s Self Service Repair program says it will include M1 Macs… so is the Studio going to be excluded? Or will it truly only be self repairable and not self upgradeable?

It’s a new program so only certain items are in it now. It’s likely due to component shortages

It's faster than the current Mac Pro, so, I guess that's why the price is so high, other than that, it's too much, $2999 would be better.
We expected to get lower prices for Apple silicon, I think that was a silly thing to expect, it's Apple, they went to AS for a single reason...more cash for them.

??? it IS cheaper? It starts at the price of an Intel iMac specked up which the Studio would smoke.

well i suppose the price of teh entry level mac studio isn't that bad as it's sorta in line with the predicted 1299 except for the part where you're not allowed to get an m1 pro and have to jump straight to the m1 max with the 32gb of memory. the mac studio enclosure is probalby overkill for the m1 pro but jeeze, 2000 is a lot more than 1300

Are they really spending 15 minutes on a crappy little phone old for teenagers and old people?
What percentage of the US population is under 20 and over 65? You might be surprised at the size of the market for this.

Also, how about college students that constantly lose, break, or have their phones stolen? This is the phone I would give my kid for college.

I’m sorry but $1599 is completely unacceptable for the Studio Display considering it has no ProMotion. Sure it looks nice but it’s going to be really annoying if you plug a new MBP into this thing and suddenly you’re back down to what, 60hz?

For $1599 it absolutely must of had ProMotion. Wonder how many of these they will actually sell…

With TrueTone, better camera, speaker, and better connectivity. But it isn't as if there are any other 5K monitors on the market.
The LG 5K supports TruTone too. Camera is amazing on the LG display, I'd imagine centre stage is enabled by software, speaker is pretty decent on it too. Connectivity wise, one extra USB-C port, other than that is the same.

No regrets buying the iPad Air 4 last month since I don't need any of Air 5's new features.
Disappointed there was no Macbook Air news. Guess I'll mosey over to the Store and pick me out an M1 Pro MBP.
Was excited about the Studio Display but wasn't expecting it @ $1599. $1100 maybe.
