I'm disappointed that there is no always on display on the pro models. iPhone 13 Pro will still be a big update from my current iPhone 11 Pro though!
The only reason I’m probably going to upgrade. I used to upgrade every year. 12 just didn’t excite me. 13 isn’t much better either but I’m pushing my luck.

even with apple care plus this phone is on the 2/2 of the replacements…

Let me put it as succinctly as possible:
I'm still using my trusty 6 Plus and nothing I saw today encouraged me to get rid of it. Sigh - another year goes by.
That just goes on to show how good Apple devices really are.

I got a 12 Pro from work early this year and I will NEVER use 90% of its features/power.

As long as the OS is the same, ANY iPhone will do for me.

And that is the beauty of it. It doesn't matter when you come in, you'll be good to go for a LONG time (with maybe a battery replacement, of course).

The event promised so much and delivered so very little. I may end up getting the 13pro. But even then the colours are so disappointing. Lets badge space grey as graphite...
Wouldn’t be the first time they called grey graphite…

It is not just the presentation that have become pathetic at Apple.
Apple development and innovation has become pathetic as well.

Still waiting for a bigger iMac (27")
Still waiting for a MacBook Pro
Still waiting for a Mac PRO (smaller more affordable version)

No one cares about Apple content development.
Patience, just a couple of weeks...

Tiny sensors are still no match to full frame sensors. I don’t like computational photography either. I want to edit the RAWs from scratch.

I’m still on iPhone 8 Plus. My Nikon Z6ii is all I need for photos.
True but Apple have played a blinder here I think.

They have done what BMW did with the 340i, made a car that unless you really need that 10 tenths makes you question the purchase of an M3.
Joe Public will be more than happy with it and Joe Professional with get away with it occasionally too.

IDK about that. The Watch and the iPad Mini are nice. The presentation is formulaic, but it's fun to make fun of too, just like all those youtuber videos.

This is not the event for this. So, as always with Apple: Wait for it.

Speak for yourself. I used to rage against this machine until I gave Ted Lasso a shot and ended up binging all of it over a weekend.

In any case, Apple is going for a wholistic approach: they make the devices AND give you at least one or two (crazy easy to) use cases you might appreciate.

For example, Fitness+ is one of many excuses to own an Apple Watch. Not for everybody, but I'm sure some fitness/sport-minded folks will bite.

Pretty much everyone that reads this site is disappointed at events because we've seen too many exciting rumors and they can't all be true.

People oblivious to the rumors are always super-excited after the events.
But like 0 of the exciting ones we’re true. It was a completely embarrassment

Well, there's only two ways to look at this.

Seems like you prefer the Grinch Way.

As for me, I prefer the Who Way.
Today's presentation and upgrade features were pathetic everywhere you look at it.
Zero exciting.
It is not about complaining. It is that the only thing lately Apple is feeling comfortable is about milking products forever with minimal internal upgrades.
