It's not about democrat vs republican, it's about whether they allow lies, disinformation, fascist propaganda, and straight up inciting political violence. A lot of which goes against the terms of service. Democrat or republican... liberal or conservative... no one wants that.

As far as Musk goes, sure. That 44 billion would have been better spent helping the homeless. That isn’t really in dispute. Twitter isn’t a utility. It’s a distraction. A place where your content gets used by someone else to make money. The inflated sense of importance some have around it is pretty silly.
Think about it. Where are the capable engineers who built Twitter going to go now that it’s become an untenable and hostile platform? Yeah. You guessed it. They’ll launch competing platforms that don’t suck so badly.

Only after inciting the violence in the first place and long after they were breaking down doors. He was watching it on tv from the White House tweeting that Pence didn't have the "courage" to steal an election from the voters. Also said that the capital police were "on our side" and didnt even mention the the senators and congress people who were in mortal danger. His tweets can easily be interpreted as don't hurt the capital police but Pence and the rest are fair game. Only hours after the attack started did he say to remain peaceful. Long after that was not happening. You should watch the Jan 6th hearings. It's pretty damning stuff. Trump wanted this to happen.

Mr. Trump violated Twitter’s terms of service and his account was suspended as a result. That is not censorship. Twitter is a private company. Just like Mac Rumors, it can approve or deny service to anyone it chooses, ESPECIALLY when said individuals violate the terms of service that THEY agreed to.
I mean, really. All you Trump backers call yourselves Republicans? What a joke. Republicans understand the difference between businesses and governments. They grasp the concept of service terms and the independence of private businesses. All this moaning and complaining and spinning of victim fantasies around Mr. Trump is about the weakest, least Republican thing imaginable.
