There’s this from earlier this year:

I’d assume they’ll move to titanium for the frame. Presumably the OLED assembly is lighter weight as well.
They could but the current frame is aluminum which would still be lighter than titanium. The titanium only replaced the heavy stainless steel on the iPhone Pro.

It is, but it’s market specific so it doesn’t “count” in the same way that a wide release product covering the US, Europe and Asia does.

It’s not. It’s still last year’s model. What baffles me is that people still expect yearly updates to ipads when apple hasn’t done that for nearly a decade (they actually update ipads every 1.25-1.5 years)

I miss the old Apple,..the one that innovated with customers in mind. Not the corporate hog only beholden to its shareholders it's become. Gurman is 100% right when he says that the only lever Apple has, is to raise prices..

Having just read that Tim Cook refused to appear at Apples first Apple Watch meeting held by Ive, I shouldn't be suprised. Remember, he's not a "product guy", but all about numbers.

Given the lapse in iPad Air updates this year & much like the iMac... the iPad Air should jump from M1 to M3. If indeed iPad Pros go up in price because of OLED displays, the iPad Air coming in 2 sizes makes perfect sense to bridge the gap. The lineup will be setup just like the iPhone with iPhone 15/iPhone 15 Plus & iPhone 15 Pro/iPhone 15 Pro Max.
They are going to use the iPhone 15 strategy, cheaper models use optimized last gen SoC, while the Pro’s use the latest SoC.

At what point do the MacBook Air and iPad Pro merge into a single product with a detachable keyboard?
At no point, because that would just mean one cannibalizing the other. Apple is too profit-focused to have any interest in that.

Another bold prediction by this guy - since there haven’t been any updates this year, what do we expect Apple to do for next year?
It took 3.5 years between the iPad mini 4 and 5, so it’s not like anything is guaranteed.

If the next mini still doesn't have FaceID, I am going to UNFOLLOW Apple on Twitter.

That's not a threat. That's a promise.
