I've enjoyed what I've watch: For All Mankind, Tehran, The Morning Show, See and the Greyhound movie.

They need more movies rather than TV shows. There's not enough "toss on a movie" content like Netflix or even Amazon Prime has.

I'll squeeze in as much as I can get as the free trial continues.

Jack ryan is pretty good. Honestly I can't ever hit Amazon on lack of content available like I can Apple TV+ because prime video is really only a bonus add on for the other Amazon Prime benefits I actually signed up for. Don't get free shipping from apple when I'm signed up for tv+
No, but you get free Apple TV+. It’s basically the same idea. It exist is to add value to the ecosystem. Prime Video, Music, and gaming all feel like they were thrown together in an afternoon and the only time anyone has looked at it since was to see if they could add ways to monetize it.

I have only watched 3 shows. Ted Lasso was an amazing surprise, perfect feel-good show for last year. Mythic quest and the one about NASA were both good as well, but didn’t find anything else compelling.

I don't understand why some of you are saying the service is a failure. It launched right before a pandemic. They haven't had the the opportunity to film the content they expected. Bad timing. Once running at full capacity, it'll be fine. They have the cash to fund projects. And what they have put on + so far is generally very good.

The Long Way series is good...Long Way Up being the latest and really great scenery.

Also, the movie BOYS STATE is really good. It seemed interesting in the trailer but wasn't too sure, but I had a change of heart on certain people in this Documentary. it is a GREAT viewing for anyone that has any interest in Politics or has maybe heard anything at all this past year on politics and how politicians act.

Apple TV+ has a major problem, the vast majority of its shows have been curated by a rabid SJW, which is all good if that's what you like, but it's only going to appeal to a narrow audience, and even that narrow audience isn't going to want to pay a full commercial subscription price for only SJW content.

There is just to much streaming, having some real bangers is not enough... you hear of so many great shows You never even heard of, everyone has great shows, even the smallest services.. meanwhile I even would have canceled Netflix if I had not shared it with my mom and dad Because I don’t watch it enough to pay while everyone and their mother is throwing free subscriptions at me That I hardly use.

You do know you can click the ‘Free To Me’ option on the home page and that will only show you the free content rather than any rental stuff.
Doesn’t work in their apps. Their TiVo app used to have a Prime filter, but it went away with an update and the Apple TV app doesn’t have it either (and has other issues like cutting off descriptions).

Amazon Prime has been the least for shows my wife and I watch. If it wasn't included with my Prime membership, I would not subscribe.

However, I would add "The Boys" to the list of excellent shows on Prime.
Yeah as I said, I wouldn't purchase Amazon Prime Video if it wasn't for the other benefits. Yeah the Boys is really really good!

The reason why it is a failure is because it came with no preexisting backlog of shows to watch in between wait times for exclusive content to come around. When you launch a media streaming product and you can watch its full library of content within a weekend, there is just little value unlike every other media streaming site where I can click through thousands of movies to make time pass by.

Love Apple TV+, not a ton of shows on it but the ones I have watched have been some of the best of the last year.
  • Long Way Down was fantastic in 4K HDR+. It's as good, if not better than The Long Way Down and The Long Way Around. Great if you love adventure documentaries.
  • For All Mankind is good but no where near the quality of The Right Stuff on Disney+.
  • Earth at Night is fascinating and gorgeous but it's not quite the quality of an Attenborough documentary.
  • I've heard Ted Lasso is incredible but I HATE sports so ... (same kind of thing with The Morning Show)
It's kind of a mixed bag. I do love the UI though. It seems to know what I want to watch and get me to that episode within a click. I prefer it to all the other services and it's even good on our TCL RokuTV.

In the beginning I was under the impression that renewal was applied with every new Apple device you bought. ..

Apple says NO..
Luckily for me the free promo failed to show up for 3 weeks so I called Apple Support and told them. They looked at it and gave me a year promo code since I hadn't tried the service at all. Then a week later the promo finally hit the device and it added another year on top so I have it till Nov 2022!

Wow that’s great news! I’ve not really gave Apple TV+ much attention, until recently I’ve binged watched a lot of content on it being stuck at home and I’ve got to say I really enjoyed it! There is some great shows on there. I’d 100% recommend:
• SEE
• Defending Jacob
• Truth Be Told
• Ted Lasso
• Servant

Just started season 2 of Servant!

I HATE sport as well 😅 But Ted Lasso was actually really good! Was more about building relationships and people coming together rather than heavily focusing on sport. Give it a go, you may be pleasantly surprised, as was I! 😊

Personally, I’m really enjoying Apple TV+. Does it have an extensive content catalogue like Netflix or Disney? Of course not, but it is steadily growing. I’ve been consistently impressed by the quality and variety of Apple TV+ Originals. I’ll be continuing my subscription when my free trial ends. Quality is more important than quantity in my opinion. Apple opt for quality, and good for them.

It's great it's being extended again. I'm slowly starting to watch some more. There are some great shows. I still think it needs its own app. At least we now have it separated.
