I recently found a Samsung note 3, meaning someone was still using a phone from 2013. Do you know anyone still using a iPhone 5s, a 1gb ram device.
Yep, my parents and for their usage they don't need anything more yet.I recently found a Samsung note 3, meaning someone was still using a phone from 2013. Do you know anyone still using a iPhone 5s, a 1gb ram device.
Seeing as cameras are going to be great this year and display wise the iPhones have great displays
Why on earth are you mentioning 5G? It’s useless until at least 2020 and that’s when Apple will bring it out...android devices having it this year is just rushing it to market
GPU? Lol what...apples A chip destroys all comp so no android aren’t close to this area
Audio jack? You mean like the note 10?...oh wait...
Newsflash audio jack is going from every phone..get used to it
You mention FP scanner counts as apple being behind? Well android are a good 2 years behind on a system as capable as Face ID...works both ways
So from your list that was poor
Only thing missing from android is
Picture in picture
On screen widgets
spilt screen apps
Everything else? Apple is fully on par with or better than android..
Where android are behind
Notifications- (arriving on time)
Updates for non pixel
Support
Structured syncing with all devices
Eco system
So basically feature wise apple are not missing out on anything really hardware wise
U forgot the good old Nokia from 2005Still haven't seen any other phone with stainless steel.

it is just different OS, Apple can do the split-screen if they want to. Do you know iPad can do that? Most android devices use that extra ram to allow you to multitask split screen. iPhones still have app refreshes and safari tabs reloading.

Apple has it is own thing
If you read about the Xs and Xs Max displays, you’ll realize they are the very best implementation of AMOLED so far in a mobile device. Plain and simple!
iPhones have been behind in hardware for at least 6 years now. Where have you've been at? The only thing Apple has been ahead is OS optimization.

I'll have to disagree with you. iPhone's OLED displays looked slightly washed out and they still look like LED displays. Not saying the are awful displays. The display is still crisp. But there are other devices that have implemented it better.
iPad has true split screen where both screens are active? You can have a video playing on one screen and actively browse the web on the other section without the video pausing?

Yes, it has been the case for some time. The reason it is not available on iPhones is a UI choice from Apple, but I’d say high end iPhones would have had the technical capability of doing it for a few years.

Aesthetics has always been important to Apple, that’s kind of what separates their hardware standards from the competitors, is they really do use quality materials that are durable and give the product a really nice feel to it. I personally really like the stainless bands on the XS line, they give the phone a nice weight and premium feel. I think Apple does a really nice job all around with their product line, which includes the 316L stainless Apple Watch.
Are we calling picture and picture split screen now?

iPhone's OLEDs are the most colour accurate out there. It's not just me saying that, look at DisplayMate. You might enjoy oversaturated displays, but that means that what you see is not what others see.

Nope. Talking about actual split screen with 2 apps running in parallel on each side of the screen.
Was introduced in iOS 11 (and might not be available to you depending in which iPad you have).

Where iPhones are behind I think are :
-display resolution
-BATTERY
- ram
- wireless charging speed
- wires charging speed.
also software to actually take advantage of their cpus, all well and good to have this powerful cpu, but tests show in day to day use it offers no real improvement
Within that exact link you sent me it says "use apps while you watch a video with PICTURE IN PICTURE" (about half way down the page)
Apple doesn't have real multitasking where all the windows are active like you have on your mac or windows. Only one window can work at one time , the other is just a picture frozen until you make that window active again.
Only apple fans would call that multitasking
Have another look, the page I linked to does have an animation with 2 apps being active at the same time side by side and the screen split vertically (and I have it working on my iPad Pro right now). If you read the support page again, picture in picture is just a subsection. "Use two apps at the same time with Split View" is also listed and is full multitasking with both apps running side by side with half the screen each, both active, and interactive drag and drop between them (the animation shows mail ans photos running in that way).
No issue with “Apple fans” wrongly naming anything. Just describing what the hardware and softer have supported since iOS 11.
I’m happy the way multitasking works on iOS and iPad. I rarely see an android user actually know how to even do it or even know it exist. iOS does it best with saving battery life and not slowing the phone downJust because both apps are side by side doesn't mean both are active. Apple can't even do multitasking correctly while boasting how powerful their chip is.....let me show you what multitasking should look like. Try this on your iPad

I sooo wanted the stainless steel watch, but it was out of stock. Definitely will get it the next go around.
