I’m curious why this wouldn’t work with a  Series 2 watch that is on WatchOS 7?
I’d hate to purchase a new watch just to use Fitness +
Any thoughts?

I wonder how well these would work with a fitness partner, especially the routines running off of AppleTV? Can multiple profiles be connected at once?

We need GymKit in home treadmills. I dont know why manufacturers are beeing so slow adapting GymKit.

Exactly. I was all ready to buy a whole gym of Nordic Track devices and then innocently asked the guy on the phone what the WIFI protocol was. I swear to Steve he says 'it's a really good one'. When I pressed him he said he never had anyone ask that question before. I have spoken with five reps and a sales manager and every one of them is acting like I asked them who fabricates their capacitors. Their supervisor got really snotty with me and said 'the iFit website clearly states that it requires 802.11n.' I was like, great, that's the minimum specs of your software. What does the hardware have in it?

They said they would call me back yesterday.

Long story short, I am still in the market for treadmill.

This was by far the biggest thing I was hyped about after watching the event. Come out already, my wallet is ready! I will probably cancel my gym membership when it does as I rarely go as it is.

Really wish an Apple Watch wasn't required. This is the kind of service I'd actually use and would love to follow the workouts on my own without the tracking and watch integration. Hope Apple rethinks the forced watch integration.

Yep. I'm still waiting to make sure we can't use them without integration. It would be a weird limitation. I know in my case, it's what is keeping me from getting the top end Apple One subscription. I'd probably get it if I could follow along without a watch.

Why don’t you have one? The series 3 is only $199, and you can do $8/month interest free payments on it with the Apple Card. I really didn’t think I would use my Apple Watch very much, but since I got mine I wear it every single day and it’s super useful!!

I’m surprised how many are attracted to this. When Fitbit offered premium services with live coaches etc for their devices, plenty around these forums derided the idea. “Who would pay a subscription?”

I don’t think this will be that compelling ultimately; within a few days 99% of the videos will be on YouTube and people will be able to follow along (without any Apple device) and those that do end up paying will soon realise it‘s $10 a month to see your watch stats on your TV.

Meh. Doubt it. I think if anything it’s the gyms that will take the most hit. People still want hardware in their homes.

Peloton equipment requires the subscription to function.

Also, unrelated, their treadmills state they should not be placed on carpet or on a treadmill mat.

All I want is video trails that move slower or faster based on my speed. I don't need a trainer. I need 30 minutes to an hour of time where I can leave my day and head back into the mountains without getting soot in my lungs.

As far as I can tell this is mostly Nordic Track and Peloton that offer this, although Bowflex has a pretty weak service that offers some videos. As I mentioned above Nordic Track doesn't seem particularly interested in technology behind their equipment.

I am a member of Lifetime Fitness and I get same type of videos included on my membership. Simply play the videos on the TV and follow the directions from the instructors. The only difference is it won't show the Apple Watch info on the screen but I can look at my watch. Fitness + is cheaper but I can't to the real gym anytime if I don't want to watch the videos.

Dear Apple, please allow for workout durations of 60 minutes and 75 minutes.

Also, appreciate if you can make this $4.99 instead... $9.99 is cheap compared to a gym, but a fortune compared to free YouTube videos...

Is the very limited number of Countries where this service will be available at launch date linked to the fact that most likely the coaches will be English speaking only?

Who cares, please extend this worldwide!

Additional languages will be welcomed but don’t wait for them!
